CAD is fine. Ms CAD gets all excited about football in the fall; she just doesn't understand why i've treated the entire month of june like i did the national championship game in 2019. i get it; a single 3 hour football game at most, once a week isn't really comparable to the baseball playoff run.

this is a great thread. Some more encouragement for you — one of the first games we watched I thought she had wrapped her mind around the concept of balls and strikes.
Come to find out she thought every pitch a batter didn’t swing at was a ball (I almost don’t blame her for this though because, in hindsight, it was a Moser game — so that very close to “checks out” lol).
Once she got past that it all clicked. She doesn’t argue with me about rules she asks me about though, I’ll give you that

I have tried to explain to my wife how the CWS works about 12 different times and she still doesn’t understand so I’m just at the point of “if they don’t win tonight then the season is over”

My girlfriend has been watching the games with me since last week and is now a bigger fan than I. The midgame sex has been pretty awesome too.

My wife generally hates sports and thinks it's fairly silly how into people get.
I have NEVER seen her be this into any sporting event. It's insane. She's cheering like she's been a fan since she was a toddler. She immediately hated Vitello and Tennessee and was so happy we sent them home. I don't even recognize her anymore.
It's been a really fun week.

My wife was outside fiddling around with sprinklers during 1st Wake game. I've made her sit her butt right next to me the next two nights she's my good luck charm.

You tell her that she knows who she married and 12 saturdays in the fall and any playoff/big game situation in any of the major sports is gonna take precedent in your life.
Sure you will be willing to skip a Tuesday game against McNeese but you're not missing a CWS game even if you've watched a game every night this week.
In 2018 I received tickets to the LSU vs UGA game the day before and broke off plans that I had previously made with my wife. When she tried to complain I just told her that she knows who she married.
I am a Husband and Father first on 346ish days of the year but I reserve the right for my fandom to trump most things on those other 20ish days where the Tigers are playing a big game.

My wife is helping with vacation bible school at our church. It's been great!
It starts at 630 every night, so she's out the door at 6 and gets home around 9.
