Wow...Flynn won the NC for LSU.

Your post just criticized Miles for doing exactly what Saban did.

Did you even read what you wrote ?

GREAT Year if Miles stays out of the way, hopefully stays home and let the real coaches coach. FLYNN why bring up FLYNN Saban and JIMBO FISHER are not coming back and recruit and develop another QB for MILES, like Flynn. Time to move on and time for Miles to put on his big boy pants

Russell and Flynn were in he same recruiting class and had the same level of familiarity with the offense. Shitty comparison to current affairs.

Not really, it comes down to what it always comes down to............can you complete a forward pass while the rest of the country throws for 400 yards a game

Always. You have to be a fricking moron to follow a team that gives you negative feelings 9 months before the season.

you really couldn't put Lee in against a pass rush like that [against Bama on 1-9-2012]

Uh, you sure as hell could.

We were clearly going to lose with Jefferson at QB. Miles had to try something different to try to give our offense a spark. But he sat there and did nothing, and our offense (not surprisingly) did nothing all game.

So what if Lee might have also struggled? You have to try SOMETHING. There's no difference between losing 21-0, 28-0, or 35-0.

That's where Miles lost alot of this fanbase. He did not do his job, which is to try everything he can to give us a chamce to win.

I may be a positiger, but I totally agree with you.....you HAVE to try something. Lee had a couple picks during the first Bama game, but prior to that, he was moving the team...I think he had 2 or 3 first downs on passes.

That was a very disturbing night because Les waved the white flag essentially. Fast forward almost 3 years later, and we saw the same exact thing against ARkansas this year. Once you can somewhat forgive (not forget)....twice, well that's a tough one to swallow, even by positiger/posimiles fans.

Deer in the headlights, absolutely froze and couldn't break out the trance enough to even attempt to compete. Any coach, even pee wee level, would have at least tried something different. That's just a fact and I love Les Miles.

Harris will be balling by the time spring is over. The kid is too smart to not realize what he has to do, and that the position is attainable if he focuses on learning it. His talent will shine in the fall and the Tigers will be in the hunt for the NC in '15.

Ummm yes you could. Simple--Lee you're in.

Not putting Lee in was giving up. In the National Championship game of all things.

As to the OP we don't have a QB, but we do have a QB controversy. Enjoy the off season. Reality sets in this fall.

This season will come down to QB play.
It's come down to QB play every year since 2008, and every year we've had suckage at the QB position except 2013. Until this is solved, we won't be winning any championships. We're paying coaches millions of dollars a year to trot out QB's who couldn't start for McNeese St. , much less LSU.

yeah, I don't remember a QB battle between Flynn and Russell, under anyone.

As long as Harris develops into the talent he has shown himself to be, it's easily an 11-2 team. The difference between 11-2 and 13-0 is miniscule. Mett's last year could have been very different with just a slight turn on a few plays. But if Harris realizes his potential early in the season, this team will be JACKED. Think of the swing in morale for all those offensive players who felt so much frustration this past year - not to mention the frustration of the defense watching their work go to waste. A few good early season performances by Harris, and the chemistry of this team could be off the charts.

You honestly believe Les is gonna start him ahead of Jennings?

You're dreaming..

He's gonna give Jennings at least 4 games. By the time Harris sees the field it will be too late.

It was embrassing to watch Ohio State play with two backup quarterbacks and win their conference championship and the NCAA Championship. When Jennings and Harris were both recruited, the fanbase was elated because we all thought the Jefferson and Lee days were over. The U started a freshmen QB the whole year, although he plays in the ACC, the kid stats (completed 58% passes, 3,198 passing yards, 26 TDs and 12 Ints.) were better than AJ's. Coach Cameron has to coach up our QBs. Remember years ago, former Coaches Saban and Fisher played J. Russell because he had the most potential and the arm to facilitate all the passes, unlike M. Flynn, although Flynn knew the playbook. Coach Miles is too stubborn, just like the championship game against BAMA by sticking with Jefferson throughout the whole game when he was so nervous and ineffective. I would suggest the following, if neither QB plays well in the Spring Game, and Miller or Golston have not enrolled into another university, then those guys need to be on 'Speed Dial' for immediate help.

Cameron should be on the hot seat, because I simply don't see any QB development this season. Interesting how that championship game season, Lee started the games and later games JJ came off the bench and it worked. The championship game, JJ starts, plays the whole game and was completely rattled, inexcusable that Lee didn't come in to give him a breather at the very least, to get him settled down. I still blame Miles for that.
