No, you are the crazy one for saying it does. It doesn't go on everywhere you jackass. You are pissed because once again Les Miles program is free of the kind of scandal that so called "better coaches" like Davis carry around with them like old luggage.
TGFN57, I think you need a hug.

You do realize they he actually cleaned up Miami's program.
I dont know about this. Right after he left Miami, players wre getting shot after practice. Everyone was calling them thug U and what not. I think Butch is an excellent game time coach, but does he run a clean program..... ehh.

Agree.
If LSU finds itself looking for a coach at the end of this season, for whatever reason (and I think it more likely Miles takes the Mich. job rather than is fired), I think the short list will NOT include Butch Davis, but rather Gruden, Cowher, Muschamp, and Patterson. If I had to take a wild guess, I'd think Patterson would wind up w/ the job.

Didn't we get investigated for that back in 2001 or 2002? I think it came up a couple of months after we won the SEC title in 2001. Some tutors with the academic support center were accused of writing papers for players, and I think there was some allegation about tutors actually attending the players' classes and taking notes for them. I think we ended up admitting to some minor violations and maybe forfeited a couple of scholarships for one year's recruiting class. Tennessee also had a similar scandal back in the 1990s, stirred up by a professor at the school who made the allegations. Auburn was in the New York Times a few years ago about similar problems with athletes basically being given grades. I also seem to recall something from the early 2000s about Ohio State and some academic improprieties with football players. It definitely happens in a lot of places.

Miles would choose an intellent player over a thug anyday.
Thank goodness for that. Otherwise we might find ourselves having to kick our presumptive starting quarterback off the team and wind up going into a season with some freshman or maybe a walk on from Harvard.

I'm not sure how clean we actually are.
There was the whole deal with Hicks, and a bunch of rumors were circulating about DeAngelo Benton at that time, too.
All I know is that some shady shite went down in recruiting, and I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a connection between Hicks, Benton, and Dexter Pratt.

It's much more fun to watch them pat themselves on the back for a water-tight argument.

I'll tell you what I'm not happy about. three years after a National Champ. our program is only a 1 point favorite over North Carolina...a Basketball school!!! I can't say for certain, but I think the program would be in better shape if Davis were here instead of Miles.
by the way it didn't come down to Davis or Miles. He said he was taking some time off so he didn't interview for the job.

Wonder what the concensus will be, if NC with a handicap, wins the game?

A basketball school that's ranked in the top 10 in football. You forgot about that little point.

Wasn't Nick Roloff the coach when this happened?

Yep, Nick Roloff was the head coach then.

Davis sat out a year of coaching due to health reasons after the fiasco in Cleveland. Davis' season did not end until right around time Miles was hired.
