Perfect un-Christian response.

Luke 6:45

The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.

I have to pray daily for the Heavenly Father to hold my tongue.. I am saved and I am still ME at the same time. Some times I fail. Lord be merciful.

I was impressed by the young man's play. I was impressed by the scene of him praying with his mom and the way he makes a gesture up to heaven periodically when he takes the field.
And then...the facade was exposed! The onion was peeled back to show him for what he really is, a fraud. A charlatan who pretends he is so religious in order to win over the public or his peers.
Funny, how the negativity blew up when a football coach, who had just witnessed his team's amazing comeback win, slighted a tv crew reporter by skipping out on her interview to join his boys as they celebrated! But, that same reporter held the microphone as the foul-mouthed fraudster yelled, "hottie f--k--g tottie". And he's gonna go kiss his mom with that nasty mouth?
Now, I hope he loses every game he ever plays in. Show your real self, fraudster!

I’m a Christian who dies some pretty unchristian stuff. I am not going to cast stones

He played an amazing game in a pretty intense contest. To the winners go the spoils.

Eh, I like the kid. He plays for the bad guys, so that skews perception in some folks minds.
He seems to have a great head on his shoulders.

Nice deflection. He sinned and asked for forgiveness. You choose not to forgive him and are trying to use Scripture to justify it.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I have always had an issue when it is used as a PR “look-at-me-I’m-so-holy” thing. You can pray with your mom in private rather than wait until the cameras are there to catch the moment. Go ahead & DV. Just seems sus to me.

It’s also a bit cringy with these helicopter moms these days. JD being a recent example. But there are others, college & NFL. These are grown-arse men making hundreds of thousands at a minimum and you are still on mama’s tit for the world to see.

Did he get on national tv and ask for forgiveness?

Did he call me and my kids who I try to protect from that kind of filth?

I haven’t been asked for forgiveness yet.

some of yall are really confused what it means to be a Christian. Yall should already know that it's not about performance if you want performance go be a Muslim - the kid 24 is still young. The point of being a Christian isnt being perfect, its being willing to have the Holy Spirit working on you and embracing that.

Don’t care and won’t think about that guy a single time unless we play him again.

I do not like ostentatious religiosity. Tim Tebow is a football example. However this kid prays with his mom and seems to take.his religion seriously, which I respect. He also beat a great defense and may win the Heisman. Respect.

I don’t regret anything

Let me ask you this? If he entered the portal would the SEC let him be our QB right now?

Legitimate question.
