I just find it stupid that people pray for a good play or a miss or make. Yea like God will decide who deserves it more because of your prayer.

Being a Christian does not mean you do not sin anymore. It means you accepted Jesus' free gift of salvation which paid the price (eternal separation from God) for all the sins you have or ever will commit. That is the gospel, the good news. If you ignore the Holy Spirit's call and refuse that free gift, you will not go to heaven. God made it easy. Don't be left behind because of pride, accept salvation (see Ephesians 4:8 &9) and be free =)

Note: that doesn't mean there aren't earthly and heavenly consequences for committing sins. It just means none of those consequences will be not going to heaven.
