Nobody cares about baseball!! Basketball needs more money!!! Two weeks in a row they need baseball fans to go to a bball game for free so the attendance can break 2k

The same buyout that you idiots said LSU couldn't afford in order to fire Kelly?

I never said that, not sure who "you idiots" are.

You're very naive if you don't think the athletic department is more willing to eat a football coach's buyout than a basketball coach's buyout. I don't agree with that approach, but that's the reality.

Semantics. What booster is ponying up $10 million to fire McMahon?

I don’t think you know how buyouts work

Then who pays it?

It’s more on the structure/amounts of payment.

It is not a $10 million cost all at once. It is spread out over the course of the ridiculous contract Woodward gave. Plus if McMahon and his staff get other jobs, that amount is then offset from the total amount.

Also, there are separate basketball boosters that do not contribute to football or baseball.

I understand all that. It's a percentage of his remaining salary over the remaining duration of his contract.

Any job McMahon gets after this will pay considerably less than what he is making at LSU. LSU will have to bear the brunt of this regardless. Again, if the athletic department isn't going to pay, what private donor out there is a big enough LSU basketball fan to pay $2.5 mill a year for the next three years to get him out? I don't think that person exists.

I agree. Hopefully we’ll be surprised in that a rich person out here is disgusted with this product and will bail us out.

I’m disgusted with the product. Unfortunately I am not rich.

Run a deal like the Pels did when they lost 10 straight. Free hot dog with your ticket stub. Then it was a free beer and a hotdog when they lost 13 in a row

The logistics on this make no sense. I tried to map out the walk from PMAC to the Box and there's just no way to catch both without missing half of one. Total lack of planning from the athletic department.

I'm not going to subjugate myself to a McFly team getting bullied especially after seeing LSU baseball getting their arse whipped last night in-person.

Probably hoping for a weather delay since it's supposed to storm this weekend.

I’d rather watch Tiger baseball in the rain than sit in a warm and dry PMAC watching Tiger BBall

The catch? The baseball game starts at 6, the basketball game starts at 5pm…good call lsu.

In their defense they know the basketball game will be over at the half.
