I was actually thinking the same thing the other day. Something like a 2011 opener where we wrecked Oregon, a top-10 team. A beating that catapulted us to the national championship!

This is exactly right. What Miami fans must not realize is that LSU faces these same type of defense's with depth behind the starters that are just as good or better. Miami doesn't have that yet. They have great players here and there but ask A&M what a great player here or there gets you in the SEC. Yes they have a great secondary but so does Florida, Bama, and Auburn who we play and beat regularly except Bama of late.
Both teams are talented so we'll see who's more prepared and ready for the dog fight. We'll see who can take the most adversity and overcome it. I'm ready for this game and I think the LSU players are as well. I hope they're focused bc that's what it takes to win at this level. It's not just how bad you want it during game time. It's really how much you wanted it leading up to the game. Once game time gets here it's too late, you should be ready and simply need to focus in now.

They could do the wrecking or get wrecked themselves. No one has any idea how our offense will play and that's a concern.

Cant explain it. Don't have anything to back it up, but I have this feeling like LSU is going to ruin Miami.
In all honesty, as the game has gotten closer, I've gotten less confident. No particular reason other than....we're LSU and shite never seems to go our way in big games here lately.

Lsu isn't going to get wrecked. Lose? Possible. Crushed? Not happening unless burrow throws about 3 pick 6

LSU had a 30 point loss to an 8 win team last season.

Momentum dude....momentum. That first TD called back set us back beyond repair. I told a friend we were toast after that and it proved to be true.

Nor I. Maybe an opening game similar to the Oregon game in 2001. It is all on the offense.

What happens if something similar occurs against Miami? Folding like that is unacceptable no matter what happens.

Oh i totally agree....but if you've ever played sports you know things can snowball in a hurry inexplicably.
We're certainly capable of schitting the bed against Miami in fine fashion.

Which was my point. Saying LSU can't get blown out after what we saw last season is ignorant.

Try about half our front 7 out with no depth. Not a problem this year, totally different d. He knows that though, he just enjoys negativity and trolling.

I get it...really I do. But most fans would contend that our backups should beat their 1's in any game we play them.

Look troll, this defense we are going against Miami with, and the defense we had against state are not even close. Argue all you want, call me ignorant all you want, but the only blowing out is going to be done by lsu, not to lsu. I'm sorry this thought process upsets you. It is my opinion, no different than your opinion. I realize you prefer doom and gloom, but it ain't happening this game. Bookmark it. Lsu 34-16

Our backups should beat a decent sec team, at their place. Yeah ok.

Other than the fact that your opinion is fricking dumb and not grounded in reality, sure, they're the same.
