Not a chance. I love the LSU/Florida game every year.

I'll allow it if it means Alabama has to drop the Vandy "rivalry."

Play 9 SEC games. Play UTenn-Ala and Ala-AU every year otherwise have no permanent cross division opponents. Switch Auburn to SECE and Mizzou to SECW.

Not really, but make SEC West standings based on SEC West games only.

Three simple fixes for scheduling:

- 9 SEC games. 6 divisional and 3 rotating each year from the other division.

- Must schedule at least one non-conference Power 5 team each year.

- No FCS opponents allowed.

Each season would be far more entertaining and equitable under such mandates.

I've seen scenarios where if we go to a 9 game SEC schedule, and keep UF as the yearly east opponent, that would happen.

That would mean one less cupcake a year, which I'm cool with.

Just to clarify, I want the gaytors on the schedule every single year. This rivalry is too cool to end imo.

We should get rid of the permanent sec East opponent. Sec did it to make it easier for Bama.

What about just count overall conference records to determine the two in Atlanta? Awkward math with a 14 team league, but might be worth a look.

My intent here was to keep the LSU Fl game yearly though.

That's what I'm saying: preserve the current cross division matchups, but don't let them count toward division standings.

That way you're basing division standings off teams playing the exact same teams.

Tbh, I don't really want the annual game against Florida to go away, but I do want to play Georgia and Tennessee more often. I don't really have any desire to play South Carolina, Kentucky, or Vanderbilt any more than we already do.

I would trade our annual games against Miss State, A&M, and Arkansas if it meant we got to keep our annual game against Florida. It's my favorite game of the year.

I'm good with that twist. So the east and west still meet in Atlanta.
