The reason the backup QB thing exists is because the fans have been right so many times. Rohan over Booty, JRuss over Randall, Lee and JJ over Hatch, Harris over Jennings, Etling over Harris. It isn’t something fans just dreamt up, there’s a track record of it at LSU.

Ah i get it. You just go with whoever agrees with you at the moment and you never look for the possibility that you might be wrong. No matter how much you've tried to discredit a person's football knowledge when they disagree, as soon as they agree their opinion automatically becomes valid

Nuss played vs backups.
Sorry but JD will be the stating qb till next year.

Jd threw an interception last year against Arkansas. A bad one too. Right to the defense….
If not for Perkins….LSU would have lost

His style of play is unnecessary with the talent we have
Teams with average/below average skilled position players need a QB with Daniels running ability to make up for the deficit. LSU doesn’t/shouldn’t need that style of QB.

No doubt the stats speak for themselves. Not about Nuss but the fact that in 5 years JD has not become a better passer.

Nuss is high risk, high reward. Jayden is low risk, low reward.

Jordy's topic today "water is wet" going to be fire!

New Mexico, Auburn 8/20 85 yds 0 passing TDs, Arkansas 8/15 86yds 0 passing TDs and an INT and Texas A&M 0 passing TDs.
Arkansas, Auburn and A&M were HORRIBLE performances
The Defense won Arkansas and Auburn, I don't see the defense winning many games this year....

No need to campaign for either QB on a site CBK doubtfully ever clicks.
He’s certainly clued into what the fan base, boosters and local media are saying.
If not, then he’s missing the political aspect that it takes to be the head coach at LSU. It’s just the reality of the situation.

You are definitely wrong on some of these. Lee and Hatch were splitting time early that season and Lee eventually took over after like the third game then JJ came along late in the season. The fans were wrong about Harris over Jennings when they were calling for it. He completely shite himself when given the opportunity his freshman year. He won the starting job for the 2015 season.
The difference in all of these and now is that that starters were not proven good QB that had led you to a sec championship. Jayden Daniels is a flawed QB but he is still better than all the guys you mentioned including the backups the we wanted to replace them minus Rohan and Russell.

If Nuss took the job i’d be ok with Using Daniels situationally in the redzone.
he was pretty solid there last year and gives you a running element.

-Hatch was the starter until he got hurt.
-Jennings season as starter : 48.9%, 1,611 yards, 11TDs, 7INTs, 118.3 passer rating
-Harris: 53.8%, 2,165 yards, 13TDs, 6INTs, 130.6 passer rating
Harris was objectively better in every metric.
-2004 Randall was the starter, Russell got hurt in his first start vs Florida which was game 6. Randall started 8 games, Russell started 4.

The next season when he was the starter yes. Not the season that everyone was calling for him to be the starter over Jennings. He completely shite the bed when given his opportunity.

You’re talking about 1 start. His numbers that season were better too and everyone knows you don’t grade relief appearances like starts because the prep and volume are nothing alike.
