I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. I believe we can win it but the odds are stacked against us. Coach O has the team believing they can win and that's the important part.
A win for us next Sat would be a huge booost for this team, recruiting and for the fan base. I'm not gonna lie, Bama has set the bar high and has demoralized us the past 5yrs. It's this feeling that has every Tiger fan somewhat expecting Saban to put a beat down on the cocky little brother.
If it's close in the 4th quarter, I think we pull it off. But a part of me halfway expects a 40-17 type beating. This would effectively destroy this team's confidence and the fans will be needing some Prozac.
Heck, Buster Douglas beat Tyson! I hope we can do the same.

My predictions:
If LSU wins...28-24 ??

If Bama wins...34-20. ??

Our weakness is that we're not as good as bama. I think we can win, but that's the truth.

Bama beats most of their opponents mentally first. Teams feel as if they cannot beat Bama, so at the first sign of adversary, they fold. LSU can indeed win!

Reasons why this year "may" be different.

1. Tiger Stadium...at night.
2. Dave Aranda
3. Les Miles no longer involved in game planning or coaching.
4. And perhaps most important in my eyes...team won't have dead legs before kickoff from scrimmaging/practicing too much.

I don't think Bama will wear us out in 2nd half like last year.

If LSU can keep the battle of trenches at least close to a stalemate Tigers have a shot IMO.

Then again...as the late Marquise Hill famously said...

"Everybody's got a plan until they get hit in the mouth!"

Well hopefully our football team isn't as mentally weak as some of these defeatist I've witnessed on this board. I don't think I've ever seen so many fans concede defeat since we played those Florida teams back in the 90's. We are as talented and experience as Bama at every position except Punter. We have the best player in CFB, We are playing at home and we don't have a predictable offense anymore. LSU has a very good shot at winning this game!

If our Dline can keep Bama's o-line off our linebackers I believe we can stop their run game and also contain Hurts running ability for the most part. Should have a good shot at winning if we do that.

What kind of question is that? Of course that's a concern.

Pretty sure this is a Mike Tyson quote. Great quote nonetheless.

Outside of last year, LSU should have won in 12,13,&14. We should win this year, cause I believe we can pass easy on there secondary.

You should be happy that Les won't be on the sidelines trying go against Bama's strengths.

Yes. I know. The question was in the context of them blowing us out ala Tenn.

Our weakness was on the sidelines and thats gone. Have a dvote for having bad vibes plus not stating the weakness you speak of.

I'm more concerned that every time I open this page there is another chicken little post like yours. I'm more concerned that you are a reflection of how pussified this country has become. Grow a pair !
