Put Sting in that role. Ricks and Flott cover and let Sting be a rover ala the honey badger.

So you're saying put the best CB maybe in school history at a hybrid LB role? I'll have to pass on that one.

So much wrong with this. So much.
Let me help: Sting and Ricks cover, Jay Ward at the rover/ 5th DB/ whatever spot.
Bonus pernts if we could work Devonta Lee into some snaps at that role. Or somewhere on D. I feel like that kid has some athletic potential that needs to be unleashed.

We ran 3-3-5 my senior year of high school with him (2004). He was pretty good at disguising coverages as a young coach, I can only imagine how much more knowledge he’s gained from working with a lot of great defensive minded coaches throughout the years!!

Ah, the good ol Tennessee 4-5-4. Even Les Miles couldn’t score on that.

multiple as what fits as dictated buy the personnel he has to work with, the game situation and opponent. So generally a 4-3, 3-4, and a 4-2-5, with perhaps a 3-2-5 and 4-1-6 at times as well. Good DC's shouldn't pigeon hole themselves these day and need to go with the flow.

He says, he can run any scheme. My guess is the defensive scheme will be multiple incorporating the 4-3, the 3-4, and everything in between.

Does he though? Coming straight from O, Ponamsky has been “doing research” on assistant coaches

Anyone know what Jenerette ran while he was there?

Well, maybe needing fewer linebackers will improve our linebacker play...

Jacoby or Jabril Cox would have killed in his scheme if this is the case. Sad we couldn't get either to come back for a year.
Sage Ryan will probably be that hybrid player for us if I had to guess.
