I figured I'd set up the tent pretty soon. I live close and once its set up I'll make the call to my friends to bring in the cooler and the rest of the stuff.

Well yea, move it to where you have space. As Truth said, they put that up several days ago expecting a line, not expecting a campout. They would have made it wider had they known hoodrats were gonna camp
