Coach O has got me spoiled.

I used to just want LSU to win 8 overall games a year.

But coach O is making me want LSU to win 6 SEC games a year.

If Coach O can win 6 SEC games with the toughest SEC schedule there can be, then he will make be want it every year.

The 16 upvotes are proof that there are fans of O and not LSU.

The fact that Alleva signed off on a regular buyout for O is reckless. The man could have been had with no buyout whatsoever without a doubt. Sure it might have been crude but this is a business and it should be run as one.

O is going to win 9 games and they'll go to the Cotton Bowl. With the bowl win, he'll have another 9/10 win season and everybody will still be in place. After another few New Years non-playoff bowls, Aranda will leave.

Then who knows what's gonna happen.

I know there's so many "fans" who are just begging for some kind of epic collapse, but LSU will coast around poll #'s 12-25 for the rest of eternity.

You must be young. There was a time when being ranked was a pipe dream.

If you act like that there will be another time where that’s true.

Everyone should be pissed that LSU has let FB go off the rails. Hiring O was the laziest move since Alleva did it twice at Duke! See Carl Torbush and Ted Roof!!

Wait , LSU is still practicing this waste of MONEY procedure??

"the university has to use a search firm"

Hey let's get some wingding from California or New York City to make such a VITAL decision ..

What a Great Idea

Get real LSU , and Quit giving Money away. (the money that could be spent on UPGRADING Tiger Stadium seating for YOUR FANS!!)

if it were to get that bad, bringing O back for a lame duck season with an unrealistic goal in order to be retained would just make no sense and potentially disastrous

We are going to be major contender in 2019. They wont be able to fire him after that season.

The only scenario I can see where O is retained with a 4 Win season is if, after Alleva is fires first, there are delays in getting a new AD and O has a season as a lame duck so the new AD can do a formal search and get his guy.

Unless O embarrasses the university this year, he will have a job in 2019-20.

It’s obvious the contract for O was set up with a poison pill buyout to give him at least 3 years. The talent was down after Les and he needs at least two recruiting classes to bring it back. I think Alleva also set up the buyout the way he did because he realizes a loud segment of our fans are unreasonable assholes.

Sure....but by the time 2019 rolls around O will be pushing that it’s actually the 2020 season he’s been building towards, after all that recruiting class will need time to develop !

Those same boosters who would not shut up when Miles was on the ropes are why we do not have Tom Herman at this point. Fisher was not, coming. Orgeron is not a bad alternative. The guy has rebuilt the roster that Miles let go pretty badly. I am indifferent to out AD. We could do better. I think Orgeron is going to,turn out to be just fine.

Having said that if the boosters that are disgruntled cannot keep quiet (they will not). They will ruin recruiting and set us back another 3 to 5 years.

Quick name another top 10-15 program that would interview O for its vacancy much less hire him...go
