I get your point but Petitty and the B1G are already running circles around Stankey

We can replace him easily enough.

If the state governments of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee go to war in courts and state houses that's not easily fixed.

I don’t know anything about the legal side of things but by all accounts it doesn’t seem like the case has any merit. So what’s the end game?

Just looking at this from a distance, it seems like he wants to put someone else on the stand to go through the same embarrassment that he did and air out some dirty laundry. Does that possibly exist?

This seems like something that gets cancelled last minute if I had to guess.

My take? The SEC would rather lose than surrender. Sankey can blame a loss on the lawyers. He would own the surrender.

The deal would be that LSU agrees to something that acknowledges the SEC’s power over it. The SEC needs this. It would likely have to be an admission of some wrongdoing

Isn't this exactly what LSU did? For everyone on here beating their chest, LSU is the one who backed off. We didn't roster the players and then we closed the loop when we rostered the other guys and made so that they can't come to LSU.
Lane has repeatedly said over and over, we will do what the SEC rules say to do.

What exactly does the SEC want? We did this already. Publicly they won.

I think they want to be able to put us and Lane and probably Wade on some type of probation or penalty. That's what they want from us for them to shut it all down.

Screw that shite.

He would likely say that a 24 game playoff solves the problem of a 9 game conference schedule. And we get extra money for the extra game.

The 24 game playoffs comes with the loss of the conference championship game. The SEC is the only conference that makes less more in that scenario. Every other conference will make more by getting rid of their conference championship game for more playoff revenue.

How much does LSU bring coerced to violate the LA district court order play in this case? Or is that something that would be addressed later down the road?

Will the Fed judge look at the SEC and say, “You have a judgment against you in related matters in a LA court. We can’t move forward until the matter in the Louisiana court is resolved.”? Is that a possibility?
