Hey. I’ve got a good idea. Let’s root for teams that LSU recruits against to be successful on a national stage.

In the 70s/80s/90s the SEC was a football backwater in the minds of the national media, for whom Notre Dame, and the B10 were all that mattered.
The SEC has never been a football backwater, at least not for the past 70 years.

I never understood all the hate. I do simply because I know more players from the SEC. I don’t think you “have to”, but makes the games more fun for me.

No. Not at all. Never pull for the SEC unless it somehow helps LSU. Other than that, the SEC can go screw themselves.
