First off, I want to say it was a blast when I was up there a few years ago. We had a big boat chartered and was full of Tiger fans and it dropped us off at a dock near Husky Stadium. We passed other boats that were also full of Tiger fans and we yelled back and forth as we passed, "Geaux......" (the other boat would answer "Tigers!") That was too fun!

I love going to Seattle.

Now, down to business-

The tailgating "section" is literally all around the stadium. You'll see what we mean when we say that when you see it. Find a parking spot early! Unless you have a hotel room near the stadium.

Go to Parrain's, get some good food, sit out on the deck.

You're going to get "Tiger baited" but take it with a smile. Right afterwards, literally within seconds, you'll be invited to have a drink and eat some food from someone's tailgate.

Wear your colors. Wait, let me rephrase, make sure to show off that you're a UW fan.

Go see Mike in his house. At the north end of Tiger stadium. It's called his habitat but I like to call it his house.

Make sure, this is a must, make sure you see the band and the players walk down the hill. You'll see everyone lined up. Get a good spot. You have to do this so you can take this memory back to Seattle and tell all your friends how we do it!

Enjoy your time and have fun!

Even with it being a nite game, it's going to be hot & muggy like you've never felt before. Shorts & t shirts are perfectly fine. No umbrellas allowed in the stadium but you can buy cheap ponchos in most campus gift stores. No oversized purses or bags allowed in the stadium as well, and the gate nazis will take your booze if they find it. So just hide it well..they do not do body cavity checks. No glass containers allowed while walking round but plastic cups are just fine for both beer & the hard stuff. Don't worry bout bringing your own, you'll get all you & your friends can handle & not the cheap stuff. If you get offered fried gator or frog legs, go for it: it's like eating fried chicken. Warning: all the food is spicey, as in really spicey. So just plan on drinking more.If someone asks you to funnel, go for it. Warning: Or.St. Beaver fans could not handle this part.Plan on putting on 10 lbs, easy.None of our food is healthy. But you'll find yourself taking 3rds all day long. Warning: the hot sausage is reallly hot. Cops around the outside the stadium are generally ok for the most part, just don't do anything stupid right in their faces. Inside, some marshalls can be assholes, so don't expect to win any arguments. Bathrooms in the stadium suck, so go early if you gotta go or you'll be standing in line forever. Females especially. And all our females are over 18 & legal, so enjoy their hospitality. Had a great time up there except when the Irish pub we found ran out of beer by 2 pm on that Friday.

Well I hope you have a good time and get some great food and drink

Tiger Stadium is a fun atmosphere, but night games are that much better. I'd not bring anything longsleeved as it is still extremely hot down here this time of year(but you probably already knew that!).

Don't take offense to people "tiger baiting" you. Most are just drunk cajun frat boys and alums and don't mean any harm(though they can get aggrivating, lol). You'll have a great time and best of luck to your Huskies!

Just get with in a mile of the stadium. Wear your Husky gear and you will be treated like a king.

Please do not take offense to being tiger baited like Oregon fans did and you will have a great experience

I still laugh my head off when I think of Tiger fans in Dallas tossing pieces of bread at them.

I wasn't there but this seems to be the consensus.

I guess they don't know how to have fun up there.

@ *uck fans - we usually throw bread and talk about millfoil. They are some of the most classless people I've ever met. When Kevin Love signed with UCLA they actually started yelling profanities at his dad and sister who were at the UCLA / *uck basketball game. His father is a *uck Hall of Famer....

I digress - at the few people that had a bad experience in Seattle I sincerely apologize. There are bad apples in every crowd. I could not fathom ever talking S about Katrina or anything of that nature. I have a hard enough time brining it up and asking about it. I cannot fathom what happened, so why would pretend to know?

@ The rest - I definitely have my game plan on and I'm pumped! Thurs / Fri in french quarter and Frenchman street. Party bus leaves at 9AM on Sat. morning. Then back afterwards to NOLA. I am very excited for the band and tailgating. I'm a complete wuss when it comes to spicy food, but I love gator!

Our O looked anemic on Sat. Sark was playing it completely vanilla and didn't open up the playbook at all. Also, we had a HUGE run of injuries including our best replacement for Chris Polk at RB.
Our D looked to be back to respectable. A sigh of releif after Nick Holt. There were some hiccups at the end of the game giving up 2 30YD plays in a row, but hey... it's the first game.

Wow, I'm so giddy I'm just spewing from the mouth. I'm going to stop now. I look FWD to meeting everyone I can and having a great time!! WOOF

Glad to have you down south. Hope you enjoy your time in and around Death Valley. As I'm sure you've been told we (like every fan base) have idiots so just be prepared for that. Also expect a heavy dose of Tiger Bait'ing coming your groups way. Usually just harmless fun though. Make sure you walk around all of campus that you can just so you can take in the tailgating as much as possible. It's nuts. Plus I'm sure plenty LSU fans will invite you over for beer and some of the best food in the world. Have fun & enjoy the game! GEAUX TIGERS!

Random question - is your party bus full? Because our group would love to not have to rent a car or take the Swift

Surprises me, but you will find a couple idiots in any group.

Pattapit,
Don't just limit yourself to the French Quarter. IF the streetcars are running again (they should be) take a ride up and down St. Charles Ave. Plenty of places to hop off, grab something to eat and get back on the streetcar. (It's NOT a trolly!)

What restaurants do you have lined up? Too many to list but tell us your list and we can let you know if there's any you want to add/change.

We had a blast in Seattle and can't wait to show all the UW folks our gameday. Enjoy!!

I am lucky having been to NOLA a few times in the past year. we are going to skip NOLA the restaurant this time b/c I don't want to wear anything with sleeves...

We are going to Frenchman's street and there was an awesome restaurant Aldolfo above a dive bar that was solid. I wanted to give that nother go. Right by my hotel there is a great lunch spot that I want to go to again it was Cochon butcher. The line has always been too long for Mother's but it's on the radar. etc.

We will still do some tolerable tourist stuff for the people who haven't been (Jackson square for Cafe O'leit, etc).

I was really just in the dark about Baton Rouge, but sounds like there was no need to be :)

You might want to check out Drago's at the Hilton. Pretty sure you can go in there in shorts/t-shirts. Excellent food. Same with the Bourbon House...just sit at the bar. Cochon Butcher is an excellent call.

Yeah, since you've got some people in your group who haven't been here before you will want to do some of the tourist stuff. That's why I suggested St. Charles Ave.

Party bus to BR early Saturday is an excellent call.

Enjoy!
