Make the center lane of Highland Rd. "bus only" and roll people through there in addition to bus service to/from the game on River Road/Burbank, etc.

So this would only work one way. The buses would be in a stand off if one was going north and the other south.

No where to let the other bus by if lots of traffic.

Bring back the parking/tailgating along Nicholson.

Parked cars don't cause accidents.

Someone was killed this year walking along Nicholson after a game and there were no parked cars to blame.

The parked cars was just a way to get rid of tailgating.

parking spot.

He has 3 that I know of. One at Athletic Bldg., one at PMAC and one at the Box and I'll bet there are more.

If they did this it would be the final nail in the coffin for the game day atmosphere.

I’d take away all the access/parking rules and then completely abolish piped in music. One way traffic out with new lanes opened up.

Use the train tracks that run along Nickelson with either trains or street cars. You could have transit running in both north and south directions to remote parking lots. You could even put lounge cars on the train and extend the distance further out from campus. And bring back parking along Nickelson. Those who parked there could make a quick exit of campus and did not have to waste time exiting crowded parking lots.

It starts with police. You want to make it easy to get onto campus? Stop letting anyone who wants drive around on gameday. Nicholson and Highland should be closed off unless you have a pass. After the game, actually enforce traffic flow patterns that are published and communicate where people need to go. Don’t just stand there and watch traffic come to a stand still before you intervene. Because people leave early they don’t follow the rules like they used to and it becomes a cluster when the game ends. When people used to stay till the end they didn’t have issues with knowing when to start directing traffic. Now they have people leaving early so much that they don’t know what to do.

Does the roads being blocked off by cops help? Seems like a lot of alternate routes and cut throughs dr blocked leaving limited options for leaving.

Get Fed/State to build an interstate extensions from the bridge along the river road past campus or all the way to Gonzales. Then add a few new on/off ramps along campus.

It would help the bridge traffic every other day of the year by sending the river plant trucks off of the existing interstate and let fans get to the interstate in both directions.

When DOTD finishes widening 10 by the lakes they will open up an east bound entrance off Dalrymple.

That's gonna help things.

It's a leadership problem. The problem can't be solved until the leadership decides to make it a priority. Send F King and JA an email and ask them to put a little priority on the problem.

Their priority right now is to monetize everything and ensure diversity. Tell them to change priorities or we'll change you. They work for us.

Traffic like this is perfect for AI to manage. Give it control of lights and tell it to move traffic out in the most efficient and quickest manner.

Things were better in the 80s when the only cops directing traffic were located at the major intersections (Highland/Dalrymple or Highland/S. Stadium, Dalrymple/Morning Glory and @ I-10 or Stanford/S.Stadium). Then we were parking behind the horseshoe, in front/or alongside of the student union or by the law school. People were civilized driving the routes off campus and would let people turning in front of them in the exit campus line. Now that the cops are everywhere and streets are blocked all over and contraflow, it's FUBAR.

Never parked on the Nicholson side of campus, but I imagine back then it was the same situation... only at major intersections.

Traffic was much better 7-8 yrs ago and many more fans attended games and tailgated. Now you have fewer people tailgating and attending games but worse traffic problems.
