So why wasn’t Tulane, Rice, Norte Dame, Stanford, TCU, Duke, USC not in Omaha?

Because they don't use their foundations the same way Vandy does.

Stanford doesn't give academic exceptions.

TCU has fricked up their scholarship management so bad that theyve lost one of their top returning hitters and top recruits in the last 2 weeks.

Notre Dame and USC had shitty coaches and have turned them over this off-season.

Rice is still trying get out from under the withered corpse of Wayne Graham.

And Duke is rising, they haven't reached their apex yet.

No they don't. Georgia has the hope scholarship and way more talent to draw from. Tennessee has the hope scholarship. Florida has enough talent that D2 programs get multiple guys to the majors.

Tops helps, but not to the extent people here try to make you believe.

Coaching and resources used.

Stanford, Tulane, Rice were once mainstays.

Heck TCU’s made Omaha 3 of the past 5 years.

the 11.7 can’t be broken down to less than 25%. per recipient. So what you’re saying is that Vandy can use what LSU is not allowed to do with TOPS anymore? bullshite.

Happy it’s over and that whistling a-hole won’t be heard for a long while. I’m 67 and I would bust his arse IRL.

What Vanderbilt is able to offer in academic and need base scholarships is far superior to TOPS.

Might want to check the definition of mainstay. Tulane made in Omaha in 2001 and not sniffed it since. Stanford isn’t a regular anymore either. There wasn’t this loophole you guys love to bring up then. Why aren’t they using it now?

At least get your facts correct, 2005.

People have always been talking about this, just not on a message board for you to read.

Rocker isn’t need based. To get to the level where a D-1 school is recruiting a kid, those parents have spent thousands of dollars. Baseball isn’t exactly a poor kid’s sport anymore. The need is a crutch you guys use to make yourselves feel better.

Honest opinion, why do you think Rocker chose Vanderbilt?

You’re right. My bad, they’re definitely a mainstay...

It wasn’t because his family couldn’t afford tuition, that’s for damn sure.

So you don't actually know anything about this, you just want to say we're wrong.

Well, since anyone getting part of the 11.7 has to get 25% and TOPS is treated like a scholarship, that’s a big NO shite!

Quit your fricking crying about Vanderbilt, that’s all. The NCAA is slow, but will regulate this, like they negated TOPS.
Quit acting like these Vanderbilt guys all have help because of need. Baseball players typically aren’t poor, especially ones that can get admitted to that school.

You expressed exactly the point I’m trying to drive home. Well off families around the nation are steering their kids towards private institutions where the degrees are worth more.

You think Rocker is staying long enough to get a Degree? Did Dansby Swanson graduate? Great baseball players aren’t thinking degree.
