I got an argument about that garbage penalty they called robbing him of a touchdown.

Gritty, hard nose player. First one to get there in the morning and the last one to leave. Love this kid.

That BS penalty may have cost us Goodwin. That’s what’s even more pissing off about it.

I'm talking about the returner only.

I will say, I’ve been really impressed by Williams. I think he’s going to ball out with an increased workload.

that garbage penalty

We were getting really spotty coverage - missed the whole segment of the punt return = heard it was called back for penalty - didn't hear any discussion of what it was??

clipping?? holding??

Blindside block but it definitely wasn’t a blindside. He hit him in the chest.

Was it consequential in the play?? ie would he have been stopped or slowed without the penalty?

Probably, he was in the play but the block was clean. Our guy made an obvious effort to get his head across the chest of the opponent and did. Kelly was livid.

I don’t see why you want to make this a racial thing, but the fact of the matter is that in today’s punt game, punters are buying tons of time before foot meets leather, they’re getting great hang time, and with ultra fast coverage, punt returns are getting more and more rare. Having someone sure-handed has got to be priority #1.

I don’t think that guy had a chance to touch Bech. It was very unfortunate that it occurred.

I think it was the same mindset when Nabors didn’t work, but that’s just my theory. But Bech is an ideal fit in the role being a reserve who is good enough to get more touches.

I’ve grown to respect Williams as well. That tough run for a TD last week really got my attention. He had a couple of nice catches last night and a physical run for a 3rd down conversion. The coaches trust him the most in pass pro. He will never be a star, but he does his job and plays his arse off. He’s earned the touches he gets in my book.

It’s nice to have a head coach who can yell at the refs while making a coherent argument in our favor. He knew that call was bullshite and exactly why and let those fools know it.
