Does it really matter how good Anthony is? The team is not good. I guess if you wanted to be positive this would be a good post. However, nothing else about this team is good.

WOW.... just when you think you've seen it all on here

One thing is interesting if we were talking about football players doing this well post LSU people would be all over Les for not getting more out of them when they were here.

I have been reading in a lot of baseball magazines that there is a good possibility he gets called up to the bigs late in the year to get a few starts.

If he absolutely lights it up then there's a chance. Gonna be tough being in Boston's system though.

There was a premium article on BA the other day about Ranaudo, but I'm not a member. Seems to be doing well for himself.

I talked to Louis Coleman last week, he struggled a bit in the game I saw, but still has the nasty breaking stuff. Still playing for Omaha.

Austin Ross has been pretty awesome for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (A)

Ross has been outstanding so far. He has gone deep into every game this year. He always had really good stuff, just seemed to lack confidence. I wish the best for him.

A lot of teams will bring up rookies to get their feet wet in the majors at the end of the year. If Boston is out of the playoff hunt (highly unlikely) or if they have locked up their division, he may get called just to see what he can do. If Boston is battling for 1st or the wildcard in late September, then you're right...highly unlikely

Oh definitely. At the same time though, that system has a ton of great young arms. Think he'll get to AAA towards the end of the year, maybe a call up at some point next year. No need to waste an option on a guy one year outta college.

As a prospect. That's not indicative of their current level of play or how close they are to being MLB ready.

I know, I'm not trying to dispute you. Just repeating what I read a couple days ago. Whether it's this year or 3 years from now, I hope Ranaudo has a great MLB career.

If the Pirates make the world series, will Zack Von Rosenberg hitch hike to the stadium to watch?
