The point of the thread is that we are a Jack of all trades and a master of none.

Nothing to hang our hats on.

Paul Johnson: flexbone option with big splits

Bama: RPO full on

Florida: spread option

Mississippi State: Pro Style with college runs

Texas A&M: Spread with pro elements

Arkansas: RPO Spread

Michigan: I-form Pro and a heavy dose of Power runs

Ohio State: see Florida

Texas Tech: Air Raid

Washington State: Air Raid

LSU? Some spread, some I-form, some empty, some 10, some 11, some 22, some 21 personnel, very little RPO

We run exactly the offense O envisioned. His words, not mine.

They start at the 25 man. You are almost guaranteed to score on every drive. That's not something to beat your chest about.

Its a variation of the This n That system

Rooted predominantly in the run focused ground and pound concepts of the Miles era with some very basic spread concepts mixed in such as shotgun snaps, hurry up no huddle and zone read plays though the QB keep isn't usually a threat. Basically it's what Miles offense would have looked like had he decided to "modernize" his offense.

I'm not shitting on Ensminger. I really think this is what Miles would have run if he integrated spread concepts.

Ha. That's pretty damn accurate. We upgraded our 80's offense to a late 90's offense.

I guess that's progress. Maybe by the next coach we will be caught up with the rest of the teams not named Michigan.

It looks like those early 60's offenses that were trying to spread the field with receivers.

Problem is, we look like them in that we're not actually any good at doing it. At least compared to today's offenses.

This offense looks like something Ensminger might have QB'd in high school.

It's a multiple offense but 70 percent of it is a spread. The reality is LSU was below avg in both passing and running and needed to be balanced to have any chance of being successful on offense. If the offense is one dimensional and predictable this offense is screwed with the o line being so weak.

Once again....they start from the 25. What the hell else do you expect?
