Another WVU fan's take...

As a WVU fan, it pains me to see so many of our fans make excuses for this loss. Bottom line: you guys have the better, more talented football team - everyone was aware of this prior to the game. We knew that we needed to play mistake-free football in order to make this a good game, and we didn't resulting in a 3+ TD loss.
I'm not one to accuse players of faking injuries and like many others in the stadium, was very disappointed when an injured LSU player was booed. It seemed pretty disrespectful no matter what the circumstances. It may have sounded loud, but I can tell you that a lot of Mountaineer fans were pretty upset by this and did not partake.
Honestly, our state, university, and fan base receives a lot of negative publicity and we received a lot of praise this weekend which is good to hear. It was disappointing coming over here and seeing so many posts ranting about negative experiences in Morgantown. You guys know as well as we do that pretty much every big time football program has their share of drunk a-holes, unfortunately it does seem we have a few more than most fan bases to be honest. A few idiots give our entire fan base a bad reputation, which sucks, but try not to judge our entire fan base by that.
Most WVU fans loved getting the opportunity to play against another passionate fan base and had a great time in both games. I attended the game last year in Baton Rouge and had a great experience. Culturally, New Orleans was one of the coolest, most unique cities I've been to. The tailgating by Baton Rouge was also a blast and I enjoyed interacting with Tiger fans.
That's my 2 cents -- I considered not making another thread because I figured you guys were probably annoyed by them at this point haha, but did anyway. I know for a fact that 99% of WVU fans are rooting for LSU to run the table. I wish that we could have performed a little better on the field to garner more of your respect, but I, along with most of Mountaineer nation, feel that we are on the cusp of breaking into the ranks of top-tier programs.
Hope to play you guys in the near future. Best of luck this year fellas.

Nice post.
I really hope you guys win every game for the rest of the season, but your coach is a douche.

I had a good time in Morgantown, all things considered. Yes, your fanbase has its share of assholes that try to ruin it for everyone, but so does ours. I had a lot of WVU fans, most of them older, come up to me and simply thank me for coming to their town to see the game. Our fans/state/university catch a lot of flack nationally too, so we know where you are coming from. I was glad to get to go to a place that was unique and enjoyed the experience.

I think your team is pretty good and would be down right scary if it had a running game. Good luck and I'm confident you will win the Big EAst.

Trust me, as a season ticket holder, I'll take this douche of a coach over the one you want your kid to call grandpa.

Amazing post and goold luck this season. Classy fan, and i hope on that same note, you never run into LSU's 1% of trashy fans.

Aside from a few idiot students that everyone has, everyone was really nice that we ran into. The worst person there was actually a Vandy douchebag that sat in front of us
Good Luck the rest of the season

To be fair, our players do fake injuries on defense. It's smart football. No different than an offense hurrying to the ball so defense can't sub off an injured or tired player.
