WVU in football. Oldest sister went there and went to some games as a kid. Maryland in basketball. Next sister went there and in the 70s and 80s they were pretty solid.
Geaux Tigers.

I was a huge USC Trogan fan growing up. In 1979, I was in 8th grade, my parents put me on a greyhound bus from Shreveport to BR. I stayed in Kirby Smith with my cousin and sat in the student section for the LSU-USC game. Went into the stadium as a Trogan fan and left the game as a Tiger.

Danny Wuerffel was my favorite player as a kid. I wouldn't say I was a Florida fan, but I would pull for him. They were fun to watch. Except when they played LSU of course.

Notre Dame, had an uncle go there and he was the first family member to go to college after coming over from Europe so everyone in the family roots for Notre Dame in some form

For me it would be UK because I grew up in UK and I actually remember the last time UK won the SEC with Fran Curci as coach. I moved to LA right out of college (Murray State) and have become a LSU fan of most things except basketball. If UK ever regains any strength in its football program it wont be due to its massive support from its alumni and school admin - basketball rules the roost in Lexington.

Lived in North Florida for a long stretch and UF fans rubbed me the wrong way from the start, they were arrogant, pompous assholes even when they had that winless year in the 80's.
So I came to like their rivals in the area somewhat, FSU and Georgia. Fans of those two schools were always so much cooler during my stay and LSU rarely played either so they were a good fit while there.

Michigan State. My dad's favorite team and I have family members and friends who went there.

Except when playing LSU I started rooting for Miss. State in 1980. When I retired from the Air Force I had 3 sons in the 8th, 10th & 12th grades and my daughter in Miss. University for Women. State was 42 miles from Columbus AFB so I used the G.I. Bill and attended state where I earned a B.S. in education.

I have lived mostly in West Texas over the years, so it's not too surprising that I also like Texas Tech.
I am probably one of the few posters on this board that kind of likes Oklahoma as well, and my least favorite is by far, the University of Texas.

In the 70s, I liked Southern Cal. 'Course, I was so young I thought their name was Southern Cow.
I also liked Notre Dame in the Holtz vs. Miami years. My mom was as administrator at a Catholic Hospital, so we'd invite the Irish nuns over during football season. You've not lived until you've heard and seen a nun get mad / kinda curse Miami football (hollered JACKASS at one of their linebackers for doing the gorilla walk).

The U. I was a huge fan in the late 80's through the 90's. Still follow them somewhat but not really. All my gear back in the day was LSU or the Canes.

SMU first 23 years of my life until my first Game in Death Valley, 2000 (LSU/Tennessee). I live in Dallas and have made it to 120 games since (either home/away/bowls). But SMU always will be next - Hate Texas more than anything.

Notre Dame when I was <10 years old.
Michigan because I visited their campus for 3 weeks between my freshman and sophomore years in HS. And LSU has never played UM in football.
I have waning interest in UM and no interest in ND. But if LSU could play UM (like 2006 almost happened) I'd be all for it.
