No one has ever said Les wasn't a great guy. He also is a helluva a recruiter. Met him at a private party and then at Friend's in Madisonville a couple of years latter and he acted liked he remembered me. When I meet Saban he wasn't nearly as nice .It's Les' coaching and personal decisions that are a problem.

this story was mentioned on sirius rivals radio this morning. a caller from br discussed the meyer resignation and meyer's complaining that he had no time for his kids. caller contrasted that with les being seen a t-ball games, swim meets, around town and cordial in meeting fans, and mentioned this story. props were given to les for being a family man and all around great guy.

After the Tennessee win:

"I love my TIGERS!!!"

Raparooot's replies:

Will you be singing the same tune in 4 weeks? Probably not.

quote:

I support LSU. I can't support a coach who refuses to learn or can't learn.

quote:

frick off. It's an SEC win and a game that will be remembered forever. Why would they not celebrate. We beat our own coaches stupidity. Now.

quote:

I am a team player. Boo Les.

Yeah, for other programs as seen by his 25-1 OOC record and 34-16 SEC record which is 2nd to only Florida in his 6 seasons.

Had to take a shot, huh.

I know big time football is about wins and losses, I get that.

I know big money rules the college football scene.

But a university is about things like this story. There should be a higher purpose to what our university leaders aspire. Les Miles understands this, and that's why he's a good fit for LSU. He knows that at the end of the day the real reason he does what he does is to educate young men. He walks the walk when it comes to this.

I'm proud to have a decent man leading our team. Honestly, that means much more to me than wins and losses. I know I might be in the minority about that, but I've won and lost enough in my years to where it really doesn't matter to me anymore. All that matters to me is what's right, and Les Miles is something that's right about us.

not gonna lie, i was anti-Les at the end of last year after the Penn State game, but he's getting me back as being our coach.

Class A person, no doubt.

He didn't change. He's still the same person.

LSU fans are terrible because our highs are too high and our lows are far too low.

I don't know Les Miles personally, but from what I'm able to gleem...he is a man "decent man", a man of good character who just happens to also rank in the top 10 of current coaches in wins over the past 6 years.

Each to our own, but it's hard for me to ask much more of a HC than to win with class and win at the highest rate in history for a LSU coach here 3 years or more.

I appreciate this information about Coach Miles. Prayers to Charlie that his recovery is swift and full. My respect for Coach Miles started when he was willing to dismiss R.P. for inapporpriate behavior, knowing that he may have to take a bad rap 1-3 years for the QB situation. Then, he passes on a dream to coach at Michigan. I admit that there have been some questionable decisions on his part during game time, but the guy has the respect of the players, therefore he has my respect. I heard about another story during one of his radio shows that had equal class to this story. Thanks Coach Miles for a winning season and lets kick some Aggie .

Yep no one but classy people drop the F-bomb in a public place, which makes Les a very CLASSY person, eats grass on the sidelines and digs in his nose on national TV, I guess this makes him even more.

I think the main group that wanted Miles fired are little queer arse frat boys. Get off the mans back and let him coach.
