We are winning so the defense must be good! 600 yards to Ole Miss is great y’all!

If we win it all will you still be sore about the defense?

Do you really believe there’s not room for improvement on that side of the ball? If this defense could just learn to hold gaps and tackle better, then they would get a few more stops and the offense doesn’t have to carry the entire load anymore. There’s nothing wrong with expecting above average execution from an LSU defense.

No I don’t believe it. We are 10 games into the year. At this point, you are what you are. And the truth is, we are not good on defense. That is not going to change. The good news is that we may be able to outscore everyone. Time will tell. Enjoy the ride!

If they don’t clean up their shite and pull their weight, then yes. As much as I love our offense, this defense is a disappointment.

I totally agree. It’s not that I’m not enjoying the ride, but there is no reason we shouldn’t expect better than the basic mistakes this D still makes this late in the season. It’s not a good thing that we are by far and away the worst statistical defense in the top 4.

The defense is definitely a disappointment, but the sooner you realize that it’s not going to get better, the sooner you can just sit back and enjoy the games and not get so upset about the shitty defense.

Aranda is so great that the WI defense got better when he left.

Things is with this offense, all we need is an average d. They aren't bad and they aren't great, but they give us spurts of good like the first half of Bama and Texas, and that's all we need to win the game.

This is exactly HOW you can beat LSU. Limit possessions and frustrate the offense into making mistakes. Trying to keep pace or out score LSU is dumb.

"They can't F'n stop it!"

The only thing that has ever slowed this offense is conventional sets and playcalling by LSU coaches.

Our defense is fine, they just need to play the entire game. We shut teams down for most of the game, then usually once we have a big lead the defense relaxes and gives up some points. Most of the time when that happens the game is well in hand.

That's the difference I see when watching us compared to OSU, their defense keeps it going all game.

Of course not. If we can win it all despite a defense that can’t even stop bad teams then I’ll be amazed and thrilled.

That’s exactly what they have done all year!

If we win it all are you going to be here bitching?

They just need to make a few stops just like you said.

To do that, they need to stop making the same basic mistakes they’ve been making for 12 straight weeks. Unfortunately, once you get past the 2nd bye week, you are what you are. Maybe some guys get healthier and fix a few issues before the playoffs start, but that’s the best we can expect at this point.

I hope they will do at least this much because, at some point between now and the Championship game, this defense will have to make a critical stop when it matters.

A game does consist of four quarters and the fist and second quarters are part of the equation. You said something along the line of the defense has to step up and make stops at some point. Most people will remember the fourth quarter stops the most but, first half stops are just as important.

Like the man said VS bama those stops were in the first half. Very similar to the texas game. At no point in the second half in either game did the horns or tides "O" start a possession with a chance to either tie game or take the lead.

Against the gators the stops came in the second half. You are not going to stop a really good offense the whole game.

All they have to do is make enough stops(like they have done every single game) in order for us to out score the opponent. So far, they have done that every game. Is it pretty? Not at all, but we beat Bama, Auburn, Florida, and Texas by making enough stops. Everyone is acting like that didn’t happen. It’s bizarre.
