"Anonymous SEC football coach" can say all he wants right now.
Still have to play the game every Saturday.
We will see how well we do in 2013. I am feeling pretty good about our chances.

So who has recently gone 13-0 and won an SEC title? I can't even include Alabama in that conversation
Has the most players in the NFL- LSU!
Has won the most games over the last 12 years of any program- LSU!
Just landed an incredible recruiting class and will close in on probably the best class in school history this year, and this clown is banging on Chavis and our program steadily going down?
Somebody is butt hurt

I will say this much, the SEC west is getting tougher and tougher
Freeze appears to know what he is doing, the Arkansas coach has proven he can build a solid program, and A$M..as long as they have a super star QB in that offense will be a nightmare in the league...so from that standpoint, it will be really harder and harder to win the SEC W...
Bama will be #1 pretty much every year until Saban leaves/retired which might be another 10 years, he has the program in a groove right now that seems really hard to imagine them backing up anytime soon...
McCarron coming back gives them the edge in every game

“I think offensively they are still going to be really, really good. I actually think they are going to be the team to beat in the West, just because of who they have coming back overall, what they do schematically, how fast their offensive goes…Mark Snyder is a good defensive coordinator. Still, they almost beat Florida. I don’t really know why LSU was so hard for them. You’re really limited what you can do against A&M’s offensive line. They only run about eight plays or so. It’s just so fast. Where Johnny Manziel is really good – and how he got us – he gets you is the same way Cam Newton did. Once you’ve got everyone covered, if you don’t account for the quarterback, he’s going to run for a first down.”
I tell you why LSU was hard for A$M...we had a faster defense than most anyone in the league..Particularly our DE's
A$M got greedy before the half and LSU capitalized....I think this will be Sumlin's downfall...His DNA is to be less conservative with the football...well....Saban and Miles have the blueprint to success in this conference..

I say we're going to lose four games this year. What say you?
I say that would be your wet dream.
I love how everyone is making a big deal about the schedule. Its basically the same schedule we played last year and not as hard as the one we played 2 years ago.
Barring injuries I think we lose no more than 3

This has been discussed before. Too many people assume "coach" means head coach. I would wager it's an assistant coach. Most head coaches are too experienced with the press to make statements like this (even if off the record).
Probably right. Maybe it's one of Saban's servants

why is everyone up in arms about this. Most are expecting a 10-3 year. Compare that to other years.
To me when you say the program is in decline, it implies the long term and not just the current season. I have no problem with someone picking us to lose 3 or even 4 this year. Most teams will go up and down from year to year, we lost a lot of guys, but we continue to recruit at a high level and brought in a new OC, which everyone was scream for, why would you think the program is heading down?

I doubt it's anyone connected with alabama, they recruit the same guys we do, they know the program is not declining.

how can a guy who is brand new to the league make these claims?

Whoever thinks our defense is stagnant/too predictable...maybe he should ask the first freshman Heisman winner ever. Manziel didn't seem to think it was that easy to beat.
Besides, this is all talk. We're still at the absolute highest level (one play away from the SEC Championship is as close as it gets).

Didnt Mascona discuss this on his show a couple weeks ago. I thought he said it was Sumlin at A&M. Their AD had said something dumb too.

1st of all I like the insult toward Mett!! HE needs to come out with chip on his shoulder and light up the score board.
Everything he is saying is all very plausible. BTW I don't wear purple and gold glasses.

Do we know for sure it was a head coach? Seems like it just says "a current coach" which could be any no-name assistant coach.

When did the slow steady decline of LSU's defense start?
