It's in one of the Athlon preseason magazines supposedly.

The only coach who has earned the right to say that stuff is Saban. Other than him Miles has owned everybody.

That's a tall order this year, given the starters we lost and particularly the brutal schedule.

Four lose-able games
@ UGA
FL
@ Bama
A&M

Other legit games - could drop one
TCU
@ Ole Miss
ARK

Sorry, but it's hard for me to see less than 3 losses.

This is that mag's justification for ranking A&M higher in the west than LSU. Talk is cheap but all that matters is who wins in the fall. Can LSU be great again? of course. Can LSU get bad breaks and injuries and lose way more games than we expect? Yes. The schedule will be tough. I think that the offense will be a little better, defense a little worse overall, but still good. My big question is kicking. An inconsistent kicking game can cost you close games and we haven't had that in a long time. But don't let these bullshite comments about a program in decline bother you. That is just wishful thinking from the state on the other side of Mississippi.

It does feel like we are slipping. Things need to change.

It's not Saban. He didn't use the word "relative".

One year removed from playing in the NC game and having what many considered one of the best teams ever before that lost. I really don't see where they are getting this from.

I doubt Saban, he has a lot of respect for Miles and for LSU. Spurrier would have just said it at the podium. Be out of character for Richt.

he’s done the same stuff schematically for what feels like forever.

That suggests someone who has been in league for a while, not a new guy. Maybe Mullen? Dunno.

This is probably some random grad-assistant coach. Not newsworthy.

That's the problem with being anonymous. People start pointing fingers at the innocent ones that they think said it. Anonymous can lick these salty Tiger balls.

No he's not and there is no where evidence of a decline in this team or program.

If anything, there is an upswing with the new OC. Our only issue this year is the tough schedule. I think we win the games we should and fight hard with the four or five that will be tough (A&M, GA, FlA, BAMA and OM). I believe we take 3 or 4 but hoepfully all of the tough ones too.

Yeah, with the LSU total D since 2010 being ranked 12th, 2nd, and 8th in the nation...I would think this"SEC coach" is probably full of crap.
