Yeah, right. I guess that's why he's pulling kids from Cali and the east coast, he's one of them.

Under Aranda our defensive efficiency has been

2017 29th
2018 10th

The 2019 defense should finish in the top 10, based on the personnel coming back. 2017 was likely the outlier.

Think about this. He’s been here 3 years and his worst defense was top 30. If we had an offense approaching anything close to top 40-50 we’d be jizzing our pants. And to think some assholes wanted to throw Aranda under the bus for Florida and aTm in defense of Orgeron and ensminger. F all that

That's how you know these anonymous sources aren't actually SEC coaches. Or coaches at any level for that matter. Maybe rec league.

I think this narrative is actually a far bigger thing than some of us give credit for.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with this.

Why? They would recruit better and the last two bumbletards they had as coaches were terrible. Who would have been better? Smart at Georgia is the only one that could have been but Smart is another bumbletard that just recruits well. He’s not a good coach.

Agree

Disagree

While Ed is a fantastic recruiter Louisiana has so much talent they don’t know what to do with it. Kinda like Georgia. He also had a very stout defense and a solid program he took over. He wasn’t having to rebuild from 5 win seasons. That’s a completely different test
Also you can’t ignore the experience he gained while @ USC. I believe that was his turning point

but but but his OM record ?

so youre dismissing the time he was actually allowed to run a program in favor of some made up situation where he has been Tennessee's coach since Kiffen left?

thats not telling at all.

I really wished the coaches names would be posted along with the quotes.

That way we could all laugh at the negatiger nerds on here try to convince the board they know more about SE, O, Aranda and the game of football than actual men who do it for a living.

No. It's just really, really dumb. I don't give a frick if O is Cajun or not. Not every Louisianan or LSU fan is Cajun.

I think it will be interesting to see how the next few years go with Woodward. Even good coaches need a good admin for them to be successful. That's not to say O didn't FUBAR the OM job. He even admitted it.

My point is that I see O's relationship with Alleva as Joe being supportive in a puppetmaster sort of way. Woodward will be supportive in working alongside O and giving him the tools to succeed. Scott's not going to undercut O. If he sees him as an asset he will make him better with support. If not he'll tell O it's time to move on.

If these coaches have any sense at all, they know what they say is being published and read by recruits and employers. They are feeding those readers what is going to help them. The quotes are meaningless, other than that's what opposing coaches want people to think.
