So in other words, Mainieri does not win enough championships for you.

He's won 6 SEC Tournament championships.
7-2 in Regionals
5-2 in Super Regionals
Made the Championship series 2 out of 5
1-1 in Championship series

But ... but ... He keeps pulling pitchers in midweek games when they're performing well. In all of these midweek games he keeps doing things that make no sense.

Then, later in the year when the team is successful in the same situation they won't admit it was because of the situational practice early in the season.

Eta: I meant to say earlier* in the season.

3 words for you

GET A LIFE.

fricking spelling police.

Did mommy hold you to much during high school. I bet she still made you sit in the high chair and fed you crushed carrots and apple sauce all through high school.

Let’s say CPM leaves tomorrow - who’s your top three candidates to replace him and why?

Try to avoid the conversational gymnastics like that other retard please

I bet your list is worse than your spelling of MISMANAGEMENT

Obviously I struck a nerve, internet tough guy.

You people are all alike. The only reason you post on here is because you can hide behind a keyboard and pretend to be big, brave tough guys.

Now answer Mr. Hangover's question or GTFOH.

He won’t

Nobody ever answers that question - it’s easier to just sit around and blame everything on the coach

Wow, I didn’t even realize people were still using this as a comeback these days. But man, you got me; you got me real good.

And as for your game mismanagement comment; so because PM happens to make a few decisions during the course of a game that YOU don’t agree with, he obviously mismanages the way Miles did? Never mind the seemingly uncanny way he has of predicting when to call pitch outs to catch a runner at the right time. Or say all the decisions he makes to help him figure out the right lineups and pitchers he can count on to help make the late season runs his teams do just about every year in order to secure a national seed.

See, I can cherry pick certain things as well to paint my narrative. Difference is that my narrative has the production to back it up. Compared to his counterparts, both in the SEC and across the country, PM has continued to keep LSU near the top of the country in production and post season play just as well as the other perceived top coaches. He continues to win conference championships, make it to the CWS nearly every other year, and put his teams in a position to win a NC. Miles was not doing most of that near the end. His program management was getting out of wack, his offensive philosophy was old and stale, and he became stubborn about making necessary changes to keep up with the game. And all of these things hurt his production. He was still winning for the most part, but LSU was no longer in the conversation for conference championships or serious postseason play. That is the HUGE difference between Miles and Mainieri.

People get pissed at Mainieri for consistently getting LSU into postseason play and then failing to win a championship on a consistent basis (which no other baseball coach in the country has done since the days of Skip and Augie). But at least Mainieri gets them there and gives the players a chance to win it. Miles wasn’t even doing that anymore.
