They're the same poster.

About a month ago I replied to madking and the alter replied to me as if he were madking replying to me.

He forgot which alter he was using in that thread to reply to me.

Right after that, I mean within 15 minutes, madking was banned.

LSU attracts the best players in the country because of its reputation as the premier college baseball program in the country. This is not something PM established.
Inspite of having this built in advantage PM teams consistently underachieve when everything is on the line in the postseason.
Excellent coaches have the ability to have their players perform at maximum capability when all the marbles are on the table.
Quick question...Would you say PM teams have played their best baseball in the tournament over the past several years when the pressure is on the most?

Excellent coaches

Name three excellent coaches at the collegiate level.

Exclude Corbin and Sullivan because like Mainieri those coaches have "greatly underachieved" and only won a single national title with top recruiting classes each year.

I'll wait patiently for your response.

These midweek losses happen every year, no one likes them.

You should not lose consistently to inferior teams.....we have done this a lot this season. It's telling whether you want to admit it or not.

Who does this better than PM, citing specific examples? Thanks

Would you care to answer the simple question I already posed? I’m still waiting on a response. A yes or no response will be sufficient. Here is the question again

I would say relative to their contemporaries yes they have performed well in the postseason. Yes they generally start playing their best ball in late April early May.

Now your turn

Sure.

I'll look at the last 6 teams LSU was a national seed.

LSU underachieved in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

2012 they didn't have a very good team on paper besides Gausman and Nola who were a sophomore and freshman respectively.

2016 and 2017 they overachieved to an extent. 2016 replaced 8 starters in the lineup and were left for dead in the middle of April and ended up hosting a super regional. 2017 was one of the more talented teams under Mainieri but lost their #3 starter in game 2 of Omaha and still won 3 straight to make it to the championship. They would have won it if Walker wasn't injured.

Now that I appeased your taste buds, please list three excellent head coaches.

Church.

I think we must have had the same baseball coaches somewhere along the line because I basically agree with every take you have on the team and baseball situations.

agree here too, He took ownership of the loss and did not throw his guys under a bus....that builds teams too, even in an insignificant mid-week loss

You didn’t answer my question regarding how his teams perform recently in the tournament WHEN IT MATTERS MOST. Mostly what I read were some excuses for recent failures.

Yes I did. They perform well relative to other programs. You're saying I didn't answer your question because I didn't give you the answer you wanted.

Now, answer the question as to who the elite coaches in college baseball are. Thanks

The fact that I answered your question and you are not even bothering to attempt to answer mine means you don't have an answer.

And for the love of god, it took Florida 3 frickin games to eliminate us in the championship series last year with one of our top arms out

It took them 2. But it also took the Florida program 11 trips to Omaha before finally winning a national title. O'Sullivan has had a stacked roster for years and has always come up short until last year, and last year's Florida team was not the most talented team he's had. But many of the fans that complain about Paul Mainieri probably think O'Sullivan is a god.
