I live in the south. Everything comes down to race. That'll never change.

What is the deal with the utter hate of your QBs???!!!

I never seen a fan base turn on their own players as bad as here.

You guys even turn on former players

But here, you guys literally hate JJ or JL

regardless of who you think is better, why would you turn ON YOUR OWN
Man, you know how to belabor a point! I stabbed myself with my pen after the last two.
Both JL and JJ have been criticised here and I don't think it has much to do with race. We had the best team in America last year except for the QB position. It was extremely painful to watch. You're infering the race thing from a few obnoxious posters.

I know whether you supported Rohan, Herb, JaMarcus or numerous other African American players your a racist if you dont worship at the altar of JJ!

Yes because criticizing JJ for his 25 yard total offense performance Sat nite or his 4 yards of total offense vs McNeese in 2010 or numerous other performances like that by him is no basis to criticize!
And like I mentioned before, I too was calling for Lee and a change of pace. Jefferson was really struggling. But the fact is, he's still the starting QB. He won the job. Les Miles is gonna stick with him. And I still think that there's other reason that Lee isn't playing.

the vitriol towards JJ has no other explanation. Yeah. It has to be race right? It can't be anything to do with over throws, under throws, no throws, intentional grounding throws, sacks, decision making, or attitude. The only explanation has to be race, right?
+1
playing the RACE CARD each and every time to win an argument..does not work with me.
not only do I not care for JJ because I see limited ability, but because he put LSUs entire season at risk for selfish reasons.
there are some that will defend him based on race, not on character or ability....just as racist as those they want to attack.

To the OP:
I cannot ever explain the blatant stupidity of so many LSU fans. I guess they just have to have something to bitch about. We went through so many lean years I am just happy to be where we are.
It has nothing to do with race, is has something to do with the ability to string 2 cognitive thoughts together and form an intelligent opinion, the Lee bitchers find this a challenge.
We elected Edwin Edwards governor 4 times, so obviously Louisiana has its share of fools.

Nicely written and well put. Sometimes we (LSU fans) need a reality check. Thanks.

You really can't be that stupid.
The BRPD went overboard with all the shite they did for a simple bar fight.

Actually you said your from the south and it always came down to race!

I'm sorry man but a lot of the people that hate JJ on here and IRL are racists.
Sure. There are racists asswipes all over the country. And LA has its fair share.
But try this thought experiment:
JJ lights it up at QB. I'm not talking about adequate play. I'm talking lighting it up. Would we be having all these threads about JJ versus JL?
Also, were people yelling racial epithets at Rohan? Herb? Probably a few, but I'd bet it was rare. (I mean, how can one not like Rohan?)
People that attack JJ personally for his shortcomings on the field are dicks and cowards and should be called out. But, look, you have to admit, it can be just painful to watch the offense when he's having a bad game. I like what JJ brings to the table, and he has had some good games, but when he's off, he's off. So, I understand the frustration of many fans, and it has nothing to do with his color.
On the other hand, JL has been just OK this year as well. Good at times, but not exactly awesome. He has some things he does better than JJ, but he still has serious weaknesses. This has nothing to do with his character or him personally.
Therein lies the problem. Neither QB is a standout. Both have their good points. Both have significant weaknesses. Les has obviously chosen what he feels is best for the team. So be it.
This has been the most satisfying football season as a fan ever. Beat down after beat down administered to those most deserving.
On to New Orleans and the final beat down...

as blind as you are.
for starters... he broke curfew..
from that point on is all on him....
whether it serves your purpose or not.
..JJ is lucky the DA wanted a way out and everything got pleaded/worked out.

From an outsider, honestly, and this is just being blunt - it appears some of you have BIG issues with race. That's sad, as we are in 2011, and it kinda reinforces stereotypes about Louisiana.
I totally agreed with you up until this. You nullified the rest of your post with this one paragraph. There is a small, albeit vocal, minority that feels that way; everyone else has their own reason for wanting either JJ or JL.
The Huskies have not had to deal with JJ/JL's ineptitude for 4 years as we have; the JJ/JL debate is a 3 year old debate, so sides are very vehement in their assertions. It has only grown worse since JL played so well through 8 games, and JJ has played well in his starts (except against Georgia). An outsiders perspective is sometimes very beneficial and helpful, but that one paragraph just really floored me.

Loved JaMarcus, can't stand JJ. Didn't like Flynn that much either.

Right, and he stereotypes the whole fan base on this vocal minority. There are blacks who like JJ, whites who like Lee. Don't pretend it's why everyone feels they way they do when clearly there is a precedence to support this as being a fallacy.

Never mind. You can't convince simple minded people of anything.
If you think racism doesn't exist, & doesn't fuel stereotypes, even if its on a small scale, then you're simply deluded.
It exists-EVERYWHERE. Even within ethnic minorities, there are examples of this truism.
I'm not saying that its the driving factor behind everyone who likes Lee. That's simplification on a macro scale that's simply ill-informed & obtusely ignorant. Painting with too broad of a brush, in other words.
But don't act as if bigotry doesn't exist anymore. Because it certainly does. Regardless of the type, kind, flavor or sort.

Then don't say it.
And besides that, it is complete BS. Give me RGIII, JR, Rohan, or a yellow or green QB, I just want one worth a crap.

truth hurts, you can't hide from it. We don't have a lot of good options at QB. I don't call them dumb, but they are not good QB's.
