House was also a really good DC at Kentucky

Was he? The whole time? Show your work.

No. House can carry his arse.

I doubt Kelly knew much about these guys. He relied on a headhunter to get names and he hired them because they wanted to get major pay boosts. LSU is paying the price for his inability to hire quality coaches.

The 2017 season was his first year and he was solid.

The 2018 Kentucky defense was really good. Pick your metric. Example, wen't 10-3 only gave up more than 24 points once (L to UGA, 34). He also coached OLBs and turned Josh Allen into an All American.

2019 went to KC Cheifs as LB coach and won a superbowl, did well the 20 and 21 season as well.

I get why people hate on him and maybe he has to go. But his resume is solid, you don't have to revisionist history your way into justifying it.

Orgeron made it look so easy. If a Shrimp Boat Captain can do it anyone can do it.

He also made tanking a top program look easy, really easy in fact.

Kelly was embarrassed by a HC that has been a failure at almost every job he has held. SC, Raiders, Tennessee.

He lost by less than a TD with his team in position to make a game-winning play despite a historically bad defensive performance. The game was embarrassing but not due to being outcoached during the game or even by better game planning.

A few years ago, virtually every coach in the SEC was embarrassed by the worst coach in Ole Miss history. That happens.

And none of them seem to last very long at one stop either. I wonder why they didn’t stay there for long? Fired, let go because of coaching change, left for better opportunity?

The DB's are obviously not well coached. The recruiting is also failing at this position. BK needs to address this immediately.

Seems weird that you cut off the 5 years he was a position coach for BK from 2010-2014.

Most top coordinators go out and put together a staff with guys they trust or have worked with at different stops. It doesn’t look like that is the case with this group. Maybe BK hired them all and said here you go House. Get it done. But these guys didn’t have impressive resumes when they were hired. So it ultimately is on BK as the HC. It’s just amazing that he’s been a 30 yr coach and this is best position group of coaches he could find.

Seems to be brought in because he was an ex nfl player, young could connect with recruits and get us a presence in the st. Louis area. We have zero commits from that area currently, so we can do better here.

Oklahoma defense has been doo doo for those years and hes just not impressive of a resume otherwise. His safeties have underperformed here also. Can do better here also.

Coaching outside linebackers and special teams. Special teams is better than polian special team but linebacker isnt up to snuff. Can do better here.

No reason this guy should be coaching our DL. Should be analyst and thats it. Need Lindsey or fill his role if he dont think he will be back to on field coaching, move him to an analyst role to continue to pay the man.

Looks like they were hired because Kelly couldn’t get his first choices.

I believe he was hoping that a large portion of the ND defensive staff would follow him but they ended up staying.

I think he gave House autonomy over that, which is the executive move - give your guys their own rope to either reel in studs, or hang themselves with it.

I don't know about that. Kerry Cooks was with Kelly at Notre Dame. I think it's more likely that BK chose him than House.
