Lol sure it will.

I rather see Kelly build his roster in portal. He gets proven players.

I am all in on him buying the he’ll out of this class, as good as Kiffen did atleast.

Yeahhhhhh you’re right….those studs from Nicholls State have been reallllllyyy impactful for us lately
Either you can play or not. NFL is littered with small schools guy including at the QB position.

Kelly won't do anything significant and he's too close to retirement to feel or care about the heat of a future termination.
If any of that were true he would have stayed at ND. He was the one that reached out to LSU for this job because he was hungry for a title.

WTF are you jabbering about? HS kids have cut their deals already. LSU didn’t match and they went somewhere else. We have no choice but to portal now, which is exactly what Kelly said he didn’t want to have to do.
LSU missed on a few guys they wanted. You all are acting like that is a new phenomenon in the NIL era. LSU still ended up with as many 5* as anyone except Georgia (depending on your source) and one of the highest totals of 4/5*. This class is far from bare and addressed the most glaring holes on the roster. No one except possibly Georgia walked away with a significantly better haul of talent. The difference between #1 and #8 is minimal and highly dependent on complicated numerical formulas that are completely made up by the recruiting sites.

That’s all moot at this point. The real question is what “message” this goofball is talking about.
Posted on 12/4/24 at 10:43 pm to FulshearTexasTiger
So what’s the message? If you go somewhere else for lots of cash LSU will see if we can get a transfer for less money? Who is going to care?

To 17 yr old HS kids demanding money w/o playing a down of college football vs 2 yr portal guys that can bring it and are now ready to prove themselves at the next level!!! CBK will kill it in the portal soon!!! Let’s GEAUX!!!!

He's had three years, he has another three years to right it I think. But nothing is a given with him anymore.

If it was for a title then why a 10 year contract? It was nothing but a $100 milllion powerball retirement gift.

He could have just leveraged LSU to get that from ND if that’s really all he wanted. It would have been much less stressful.

Certainly less stressful playing mediocre teams than then the SEC. Doubt ND would have given him $100 million

They’re paying Freeman almost $7 million a year with no experience and very little as a coordinator. They certainly could have come close to $10 million a year for Kelly.

There is alligators in the swamps.

Needed Trump to negotiate the coach hire then we would be spending the 100 mil on nil instead of Kelly and prolly be in the playoffs!
