You have to understand that a certain percentage of the posters on this board are true sycophants. All they can do is kowtow and post the same drivel after every game. That's the telltale sign that they aren't rational human beings. They are more like mindless bots that perpetually make the same post. If LSU wins 62-0 and plays exceptionally well, they post "Miles is the greatest ever! He is the coach and is therefore infallible. He knows more than you! He's at practice! And he's a good man, better than Saban." If LSU wins 13-10 and plays poorly, they post "Miles is the greatest ever! He is the coach and is therefore infallible. He knows more than you! He is act practice! And he's a good man, better than Saban." If LSU loses by 1, they post "Miles is the greatest ever! He is the coach and is therefore infallible. He knows more than you! He is at practice! And he's a good man, better than Saban." If LSU gets gets shut out 21-0 in arguably the biggest game in a half a century, they post "Miles is the greatest ever! He is the coach and is therefore infallible. He knows more than you! He is at practice! And he's a good man, better than Saban." If LSU destroys Washington 41-3, or plays horrendously against a FCS division opponent, or loses to Florida because of a laughable offensive gameplan, or beats South Carolina, their reaction is always, invariably, uniformly the same: "Miles is the greatest ever! He is the coach and is therefore infallible. He knows more than you! He is at practice! And he's a good man, better than Saban."
These posters are tiresome and predictable. They add little to the dialogue here and are the cause of 75% of the unproductive threads on the board.

For those of you who don't know, Nicolas Chauvin was a soldier in La Grande Armee who was well-known for his extreme loyalty to France and to Napoleon. Eventually, his last name became the eponym for chauvinism, a word for extreme loyalty to a nation, to an individual, to a cause, etc. Ironically, the name Chauvin is not uncommon in Louisiana, and there's even a town, in Louisiana, named Chauvin.
Sometimes, many of the positigers must be channeling Nicolas Chauvin because they
You wrote all of this BS to make the following statement!

eagerly "kill the messenger" every time a so-called negatiger offers some constructive criticism.
You think this case has not been made against posi-tigers or sunshine pumpers?

Instead, we should all agree that diversity of opinion should be encouraged, not discouraged. In the end, we are all proud Tiger fans, and we should treat each other accordingly.
You can do your bitching without pre-emptive strike. Don't expect your next post to be treated as scholarly treatise just because you know how to read wikipedia.

And this is somehow different from the Posters that say "Miles is an idiot, he can't hold Sabans jock strap, he doesn't know shite about football, he has no business meddling in the offense and can only win because Saban used to be our coach". And that is the shite you get after a win.
If the shoe fits.....

Frankly, I don't often see such posts. Sometimes, but not usually. Rather, I typically observe the following pattern:
(1) Poster A makes a statement in which he critiques some aspect of the coaching performance;
(2) Sycophant B takes umbrage, rushes into the thread, and rather than responding to the specific critique, makes some generically sardonic statement such as "Like you know more than the coaches /I trust Miles /Miles gets paid to worry about this /I'm sure the staff appreciates your insight, maybe you should e-mail them /Aren't you over this yet, I've moved on/ etc."
(3) The thread quickly deteriorates, drifts away from the original critique, and becomes some general referendum on Miles.
In this way, the sycophants attempt to preclude any rational conversation regarding the shortfalls of the coaching staff in any given game.

So you defend the negas by attacking the posis?
Nice first post.

It is true that perception is reality. The difference in the number of negative Miles threads compared to the number of positive Miles threads is big. As I said earlier in this thread, constructive criticism is one thing but that is rarely what you get.

Believe what you want, many tiger fans are fed up with the little offensive production over the years. There was sporadic booing Sat night at the goal line with the same pitch plays, etc. Fans want offensive production. We got some Sat. night.

75%? sure you counted this your self...just like when you say the BCSNC was biggest game in 50 years...bigger than 03 and 07 when we won or 25 other big games we have won in past 10 years...you are always spinning negtaive just like some are always positive, the trick is reading the others who are in between...so stop making up numbers and go back to your day job, the fries are burning

We are positive because we are rational people who think that one loss to Florida or a close game to Auburn is doom and gloom on the program. We go through adversity every year and Miles always seems to right the ship. Plus we say Miles knows more than you because guess what HE frickING DOES and if you think otherwise you are batshit crazy

LOLOLOL. This is a prototypically perfect example of the phenomena I was just referring to! Reactionary nonsense and ad hominem attacks.
And yes, I would say that a game in which we could capture our first undefeated national championship since 1958 was arguably the biggest game in half a century. Doing simple subtraction (2011 - 1958) isn't "making up numbers." It goes without saying that an undefeated NC is preferable to a one loss (2003) or two loss (2011) NC.

Look it goes beyond that. Saying fire Les Miles isnt constructive criticism, neither is saying bench mett or never let josh d near the line. Now you get why so called positigers kill the messenger. More often then not the negative cunts dont offer anything.

I have to agree that it was. It was not only for the NC but it was Miles chance to drive a nail in the Haters coffins by beating Saban for the NC and he didn't get it done. It was a poorly coached and poorly played game. If we had lost 21-20 it would have been swallowed much easier.

exactly. I wanted Saban gone after UAB then I loved him and wanted him to stay even after the Iowa frickstick of a game.
I wanted Miles gone after clock debacle, Tenn luck-up, and the Fla game this year but not after the BCS game.
I questioned our entire baseball team after the Appy state series early in the season.
So those are personal examples. But certain things about the program affect us all differently, including the amount of alcohol consumed before logging on here.
I knew we would win Saturday night.

Go back & check out all the negative comments bout CLM after beating bama 9-6 last yr. LSU wins one of the biggest games in its history & our coach gets rocked. Same with the game Sat nite. Tho not near as big, it was a huge game for when it happened & the results. We beat a #3 team in the country at a time when we desperately needed a win to keep the season alive, we dominated, yet Sunday, the day afterwards, this site was full of negative comments bout what we should have done. While that may be ok, at least have something good to say to balance your bitching out. And none of those criticizing CLM had one good thing to say beyond " I am a big Tiger fan & wish us the best" type of BS. Enjoy a win, people for what it is, a WIN.
