The selective enforcement is wild. I still can't get over Alabama not even being threatened by the SEC for playing a pro basketball player.

eh. a college player is making $500K his senior season for a program with comparable value to an NFL franchise.
that player is forced out due to exhausted eligibility and declares for the draft. What choice does he have?
He goes undrafted, but gets invited to a training camp. He gets to try out for a pro team and is paid a per diem stipend and a contract that voids if he is waived.
He gets waived and never makes an NFL team. He pocketed a few thousand bucks for his trouble.
Was he more of a pro before, or after his dalliance with the NFL? I think this is the point the judge was making.

Because a local judge ruled him eligible after he was denied multiple times. Why pick and choose here?
LSU seemed worried they wouldn't be able to get Chambliss eligible had he transferred. Ferris State originally told the NCAA that Chambliss did not play, because of developmental needs and their team’s competitive circumstances.

Need to add all the other players and schools that have taken UDFA players or minicamp players that have come back to college as a result of the 5 for 5 rulings. The list is long and it shows the true hypocrisy.
Also, the most interesting thing to come out of the Louisiana trial was that the SEC Commish doesn't know what a professional athlete is.

The point remains that the SEC is picking and choosing which bylaws to follow.
At a time when they are saying they are an organization of teams and their job is to enforce the bylaws.
