The GDP and jobs come first, then comes urban progressivism. Not the other way around. A lot of it comes from the fact that a millionaire in Louisiana can afford his own sewage, water, security, and even power. A millionaire in New York or LA can't. So they will want more government spending and services. Which party wants expanded government and taxation to pay for it?

I’ve been going to Asheville regularly for 25 years.
Downtown was wonderful.
Now it is disgusting.
Rural NC is still nice.

Seems like a large percentage of publicized black on white murders and other violent crimes in the last few years have come out of Charlotte.

Oooooooooh that is the only way to gather statistics. If 2 people live in a town and one of them shoots the other the 2 of them had a far higher likliehood of being shot than they would have if there were 4 people in the town.....maths is hard....

I live in rural America. I live on a two mile stretch of state highway that intersects to the north and south with other state highways. On the stretch I live on, there are eight residences. All but one are on the east side of the highway. From north to south these residences are occupied racially in the following way: white, unoccupied, white, black, white, white, black, black.
I lock my door at night if I think about it. We help each other out with things. There hasn’t been as much as a petty property crime here for as long as I’ve lived here.
Your post suggests that we’re murdering parasites who would be better off living in blue cities. No thanks, and frick you.
