They do need to improve the lighting and aesthetics, but the structure is just fine.
ETA:
Aren't we getting an outdoor beer garden outside the the North Endzone of the football stadium? That would be great for basketball tailgating.

It still is - every other FRIDAY night from January to March. Sometimes on Sunday afternoon - like this Sunday #2 LSU vs # 3 Florida. Sell out crowd, fantastic team introduction, amazing athletes from both teams putting on an incredible show. Will be like LSU and Kentucky basketball from 1978 to 1993.

The PMAC is a relic of the 70's bland multi-use arenas. There's nothing aesthetically pleasing about it. However, the arena doesn't make the atmosphere great. The team and fans do. Ask Ole Miss and AU. Both have nice new arenas where the atmosphere is almost as dull as the PMAC.

I wish the SS was part of the upgrade. It needs to be moved back to its old spot for sure.
