He either gets hip dropped or his knees torpedoed

The bigger stronger green is now more injury prone because those are the only ways to bring him down

Same. Said this to the baws after the last hip drop tackle he took yesterday. I know he can't eliminate how opponents like to come at him but I'd prefer to see him lower his level more and deliver the hit himself when finishing runs. I just can't think of anything else he can do to protect himself.

Yes. And Auburn 100% targeted his knee as he went into the end zone. Even Green paused when he was on the ground like he was making sure his knee survived the hit. Alabama will do everything they can to hurt him.

You could hear him kind of moan on one of the tackles but he bounced back up

I thought the same thing about him checking his knee after the TD, but he was actually putting his shoe back on.

That’s the only way you can bring him down

No one is trying to injure him.

It’s like trying to tackle Derrick Henry. You can’t tackle Green up high

That’s just the rust being knocked off. He’ll be fine.

The good thing is it was a bruise and not structural in the knee

I was just about to come on the board and post a new topic about that. Watch the tail end of this play as he reaches the end zone. Auburn Player goes straight for his knees.

His YAC ability makes him even more unusual because you don’t see guys like that who are so tough to bring down. For the longevity of his career he really needs to start getting down when he’s got guys hanging on to him. I appreciate the mentality, but unless it’s a critical gotta have it moment like a 3rd or 4th down in a close game, it’s not worth the few extra yards.

He always seems to go down awkward and I cringe everytime. Later in the game he had a limp on the sidelines.
