think he liked when the LSU players were celebrating victory only to learn that the clock had run to zero before they scored the game winning TD.

Too bad the Auburn game is the last one we will get to see that happen with les "Clock Aware" Miles

ed orgeron hasnt had to be in many close games outside of 2017. clock management is easy when youre team is shite like his ole miss tenure

its easy to be a good clock manager when 90 % of your career the score isnt close at the end of the game.

Eh, I disagree. He's done well during the games he's coached at LSU. I welcome that change because Les was the worst. I will never forget the spring after LSU lost to Bama when Yeldon scored on the screen, Miles was quoted saying that they were gonna be working on the 4 minute drill. I was just thinking, is that seriously what it takes?

They were totally unprepared. Jeremy Hill had no clue what to do with the ball at the end of that game.

Orgeron is definitely better at clock management than Miles. Orgeron has been fantastic with his clock management so far.

He has definitely been better than Miles with clock management, but he had a major blunder against Bama in 2016 late in the 3rd quarter on the most important possession in a 0-0 tie game. After Bama fumbled in their own territory, we had it in borderline FG range at the 35 on 3rd and 3 and we got a delay of game penalty when it was clear we weren't going to get the play off. We were forced to pass, got a grounding call and had to punt it. We never came close to scoring again.

Good point. That's one of those where I think you see where he wasn't ready for the pressure of the moment. I doubt that would happen again.

I wasn't referring to stats, talking about player wise, front 7 2016 collectively better and kept constant pressure on etling and the handful of times he did have time he didn't execute. When you take 3 step drops and guys are in your face you have no chance to complete a pass. 2017 front 7 and d-line group not as good as 2016, stats may have showed that they were comparable but the effects in those games were different.

Canada was the hottest OC in the country. Works one season under O, now he sucks. Coincidence, I think not.

Canada likely never got to run his own offense. Orgeron seemed to have handcuffed him from day one. Orgeron’s ego cost LSU a few games last year.

13-0 SEC Champs. That’s 1 more SEC Title than O will get. On the bright side we won’t have to worry about getting beat in the NCG with O playing in the Citrus Bowl at best every year

That is something to look forward to; we won't ever lose another national championship as long as he's here. Man that does make me feel a lot better!

Never say never. It could all come together, but I'm not seeing anything that says it's likely to happen.

youre shitting on an undefeated sec season while touting a coach that hasn't proven he can consistently finish above last place in the west.

This is the same guy that says O was actually a good HC at Ole Miss, there were just outside influences that held him back(when O has stated many times he doesn’t let outsiders influence his program). Also, Houston Nutt took OM to the Cotton Bowl the season after O was fired, which shows O was turning a corner, and would’ve done even better had he not been fired.

1. That offense scored more than 0 points before

2. He wasn’t stuck with anything he had months and 2 weeks to add wrinkles.

3. I am not going to hire a guy based on how he does vs shitty competition, but I know O will.
