U guys need to stop sucking Canada's balls! He is gone, I wasn't impressed with his pay calling. A lot shifts, but could not move the chains!

So was this because LSU was better in 2017, or Alabama was worse in 2017? How do you know? Using this method is like trying to count cows in 2 tornadoes. Each game is dynamic and unique. You can't just freeze-frame one specific game and swap out OC's to perform an A-B test.

Now who's the intelligent one?

This is a really bad analogy IMO. I would say that if you want to use the painter analogy, then Cameron was the original painter, but the painting faded and Ensminger came in and did the touch up.

Now, Ensminger is painting with a blank canvas and not just filling the lines already created.

Would you argue that Canada was not widely considered a homerun OC hire, after O made the “best coordinators in the country” comment? According to pretty much everyone, Canada was considered the brightest OC prospect in the country, coming in to LSU. The hire didn’t work out. So what should O do? Take another chance on a guy he doesn’t know, or go with the guy who had success as the interim?

The idea that O is handcuffed to a statement he made that was about bringing in Kiffin or Canada is total garbage. ‘Minger’s interim offense was better than Canada’s—it doesn’t take a genius to understand why O’s hitching his wagon to ‘Minger this year, except when it conflicts with anti-O bias.

We’ll see this year whether O is making a good decision—it may turn out that he isn’t if ‘Minger’s 2018 offense dies on the vine—but he isn’t going back on his word, as you and others are suggesting.
