So was this because LSU was better in 2017, or Alabama was worse in 2017? How do you know? Using this method is like trying to count cows in 2 tornadoes. Each game is dynamic and unique. You can't just freeze-frame one specific game and swap out OC's to perform an A-B test.

Now who's the intelligent one?

And before you go off and claim that since Team A beat Team B, and Team B beat Team C, therefore Team A is better than Team C.... read this: LINK

Also that Louisville team was 9-1 with a close loss to Clemson on the road heading into the last two weekends of the regular season. They had the Heisman frontrunner(he won the award) and were averaging @50 points per game and giving up @20 points per game. They were top 5 and thinking Playoffs.

Houston beat them 36-10 and hopes were smashed. They lost at home to Kentucky 41-38. Yes LSU handled them with relative ease in the 29-9 bowl game. Louisville didn't look very motivated to be there and no their beat up defense wasn't very good.

Simple fact. Canada did not get to run his offense in 2017. He was a escape goat

I like Ensminger's Offense. This is from the Louisville Game showing the Spread. He ran about 10 different looks in the Louisville Game. You can go back but Ensminger has always used the Spread. There is nothing wrong with Ensminger just about 95% of the people on this Board are stupid.

That looks just like when Cam had Harris in the gun.

say a painter (ensminger) borrows another painters brushes, paints (with the OE's chosen paint colors and type paint), canvasses, tripod, and what ever other crap painters use. But this painter paints a beautiful painting like a Monet, or Picasso, or Van Goegh with that borrowed stuff, while the original painter (Cameron) painted a painting of the quality of a house wife at a 'painting with a twist' party with her own paint supplies.

Don't you think when the painter that painted so well (ensminger) with the borrowed supplies will paint even better when he gets his own kit of the type brushes, type and colors of paints, etc. that he likes to work with?

This is a really bad analogy IMO. I would say that if you want to use the painter analogy, then Cameron was the original painter, but the painting faded and Ensminger came in and did the touch up.

Now, Ensminger is painting with a blank canvas and not just filling the lines already created.

obody has a clue what Ensminger s O is. I could youtube a few games 20 years ago and see it I guess

Bingo. You don’t institute an offense from scratch mid season when replacing a coach. You take bits of the scheme and call plays.

What you saw two years ago was Steve calling Cam Camerons offense.

We lost to Bama for the same reason we always lose to Bama. That game comes down to the guys in the trenches.

It looks like when Cam had Mett, Jennings, Harris, and Etling in the gin.

Like someone posted that’s a pretty standard look. We’ve run similar for years with different coaches, OCs, and QBs.

This entire house of cards was built on O handling the operations and hiring THE BEST coordinators to run the program on the field.

This is the fakest of fake news.

Would you argue that Canada was not widely considered a homerun OC hire, after O made the “best coordinators in the country” comment? According to pretty much everyone, Canada was considered the brightest OC prospect in the country, coming in to LSU. The hire didn’t work out. So what should O do? Take another chance on a guy he doesn’t know, or go with the guy who had success as the interim?

The idea that O is handcuffed to a statement he made that was about bringing in Kiffin or Canada is total garbage. ‘Minger’s interim offense was better than Canada’s—it doesn’t take a genius to understand why O’s hitching his wagon to ‘Minger this year, except when it conflicts with anti-O bias.

We’ll see this year whether O is making a good decision—it may turn out that he isn’t if ‘Minger’s 2018 offense dies on the vine—but he isn’t going back on his word, as you and others are suggesting.

Correct. Cam’s offense wasn’t the problem, it was what Cam was allowed to call during games. Stuff worked on all week leading up to games were scrapped by the HC, sometimes as the buses were leaving for the airport or stadiums. Happened a lot more often than most people know.
