Didnt read: but yes...

Unfortunately, we have been dealing with this for years. Miles has been great\as good as he could be for us. However, its just that time. And im very much optimistic and pragmatic when it comes to LSU athletics.

I believe he had one mission this year and that was to take every game, 1 at a time. Didnt do it. No one starts the game 3 runs and then 3 passes.

But the OL struggled mightily. And it was everyone on the OL. They looked soft and confused all day.
When you ARE confused, you play slow and soft and hesitant. All that happens when you're not properly prepared and don't fully understand what your position coach is teaching you................

We had one really bad game with many (hopefully) fixable errors. Yes it sucked, but so many posts on here are already calling it a season.

I guess what I am trying to say is "was it over when the Germans bombed pear harbor?"

I think we can still achieve greatness with this team and this staff. Whose with me?

LOL. You think this offensive performance was just from this game against the Badgers.

Seasons over dude.

I disagree with this.

If LSU wins out, they'd be in the SEC championship game and squarely in the playoff mix. People will forgive a terrible week 1 loss on the road if LSU can win the rest of their games, including a win over Alabama.

I see no reason to think LSU will win the rest of their games, but if by some miracle they did, the season would not be over.

The season is over, because in order to win out, LSU would have to make a complete turnaround on Offense. When has Les Miles ever done that?

Never.

BUT, on the off-chance that it does ... the season wouldn't be over. I see no evidence to think LSU can win out, but if they did, they'd be a playoff team.

Of course we can still improve on some of those mistakes and have a great season

Sure we'll look improved against the creampuffs then get our shite pushed in against equal talent on defense. Same shite different year!!

Lmao you actually think this coach is going to change anything? He had all offseason to do something anything different and NOTHING. I said I would give up after a saw nothing different and I am. Give up on Miles that is not LSU. But I could really care less what he does how many ugly games he wins. His style sucks and isn't fun for anyone. He's gotta go.
I am still holding out hope that the game plan was killed by the QB failing to complete easy passes. Perhaps there is the slightest bit of hope that Miles is forced into giving up on running QB's for a while and we do the best with the passing QB's we have.

Long shot, yes. All on Miles.

I'm with you man. Was Saturday disappointing? Hell yes! It was frustrating and sucked. To echo what the rest of the people that are pumping the brakes, the biggest concern with me was and is the offensive line. Just got dominated throughout the game. But offensive line is the biggest "unit" that needs time to gel in a season. I'm not saying they won't be bad all year but o-line generally has the biggest ceiling as far as growth throughout a season.

As far as everyone going off on les and the playcalling...were there a few pass plays with only 2 routes? yes (2 i think). But when you have a defender in the qb's face before he is out of his 3 step drop, then there is an issue. I didn't hate the play calling after the first quarter. In fact there were some really great playcalls made. Execution was poor.

Biggest play of the game was when ur all-american center whiffs on a block on a screen pass to 7 and instead of possibly scoring 6 and definitely making the first down, we get dropped short on third. HUGE play in the game.

I am with you, Mid Iowa. There are still 11 games left in regular season. We all know that it is likely the team bounces back.

how does it feel to be an idiot? It's a continuation of last year..... we haven't developed anyone and our offense is as puke as ever.

What makes you say this, given Les Miles' body of work? Nothing will change.

Bla Bla Bla, eleven games left Miles is going to turn it around, rinse and repeat from 2011. You are just people who are happy with half arse, our coach doesn't give a crap anymore. He can pull a top 3 recruiting class and turn it into a turd sandwich in just a couple months. After watching this weekend it's obvious we now a bottom feeder coach an the worse in game management and QB development in the entire country!!!

With all due respect, oh great one, we have seen this story time and time again. What about the 11th season makes it different than say, the 8th, 9th, 10th, etc.?

This isn't a knee-jerk reaction to one particular thing. It is a culmination and Miles' refusal to change over a decade.

For example, I've seen people run off where I work over some trivial shite. But it wasn't really because of that thing that they made it to be about. It was about the big picture and a whole bunch of things. That is what is going on with Miles right now.

The bus lost it's brakes, rolled off the cliff and caught on fire on 1/9/12.
