He is taking an enormous political risk by publicly getting involved with the LSU coaching search. For his sake, it better be a home run.

The outrage has nothing to do with Woodward. It’s that Magalicious cock in his mouth.. The fact that some are not bothered by Trump arse licking lets you know how far gone some people are. They gone gone.

As far as being an LSU graduate that bleeds Purple and Gold, This was legit the most embarrassing thing I have ever seen. Period.
The lengths these guys go to suck 47 meat is crazy.

Not even close. The most embarrassing thing was when they lit up the stadium in colors of George Floyd’s high school. And hung huge BLM banners all over the stadium. That was THE MOST fricking embarrassing thing I have ever seen a university do.

Edit: how could I forget about Woodward’s pregame recording about accepting gays and transjingus to the games. Just wow!

Maybe the top coaches LSU will want aren’t pussies like the clowns melting about the Governor wanting a good coach without a ridiculous contract. And if he is, LSU doesn’t need him anyway.

Landry says get a committee- find a good coach- pay him and reward success. If a coach wants a fat contract and guaranteed years, he can gonlet Floridia or Penn State pay him &away we keep looking.

It’s sad what LSU has turned these “educated” liberal debtors into.

If you think the hate is only from liberals, you are stupid!

Any person with half a brain knows there was no reason for Landry to go on TV and say that shite.

Landry is by no means a statesman and needs to keep his dirty Landry to himself. But he won’t hire the new coach and will snooze any candidate and insure him he won’t be involved with LSUs football program.

I think paying a low base with heavy incentives for performance is a great idea. If it works. The problem is nobody really knows whether the market will support that contract structure for a great coach. Jeff Landry included.

So if the options are a high guaranteed salary for a great coach or low salary with heavy incentives for a great coach, the incentive structure sounds great. If the options are high guaranteed salary for a great coach or low salary with heavy incentives for a turd of a hire, I hope LSU gets the checkbook out. Either way we don’t need Landry muddying the waters before a new AD is even hired.

And here’s the other thing - there are things that matter to prospective coaches other than salary. Chief among those things is institutional support. Resources. That goes double for anyone on an incentive-heavy deal where the institutional support (or lack thereof) can make or break the entire contract value.

From that perspective, it’s extremely counterproductive for the governor to be spouting bullshite about his responsibility to save taxpayer money as if the athletic department isn’t 100% self-sufficient. Regardless of the coach’s personal contract structure, the messaging should be “this is LSU, you’ll have all the resources you could need.”

No reason at all. If anything just say we’re going to form a search committee and that’s it. Don’t disgrace an employee of the university that way…someone who, unless he’s being fired will have to be engaged with the coach.

And I’m old enough to remember when most of this board were up in arms when John Bel said LSU football could be threatened if they didn’t reach a budget resolution…

There was no place for politics then and it’s no place now. Move in silence!

I like what he had to say. He didn't cut any corners. He said he's tired of rewarding failure. Was a little arrogant though

But I didn't get the idea he was going to choose and i don't want him to choose..

This is what I’m talking about.

The reporter did not ask him about Trump. He chose to slap that grease on extra thick, so dear leader could know his arse is wide open.

The arse kissing is so shameless and unnecessary. Imagine being a coach who doesn’t support Trump, seeing that mess. We are automatically out of consideration. This will not die easily. But is in no way a good look for the university.

Same people applauding this, then say keep politics out of sport. Again I pray that sensible Republicans vote this clown out of office. He may single handedly ruin the one thing we all love most.

It’s a great idea except for the fact that no one will agree to the terms.

Why would anyone do that when you’re going to have programs like UF, PSU, Arkansas, etc that are going to be offering a high base with guaranteed money.

This is how you get stuck with someone like skip holtz.

He kneecapped your AD! Who does a HC work closer with, the AD or the BOS? Will the AD hamstring the new coach if he doesn’t approve who the committee picks? Landry couldn’t wait another week to let your new President and AD hash the selection process out? I’m sure ANY HC wants to know what they are walking in to, so who is going to answer their questions, the Governor, the new President, the BOS or the AD? Just a thought.
