Or maybe you misheard what they were saying. The song by Cameo is 40 years old and because of the heavy use of brass and drums in the original song, it lends itself to being played by marching bands.
It is a bit ironic that the generally conservative fanbase loves a song that ridicules Ronald Reagan.

Other than the fight song, alma mater, nearly every song every band plays is not an original composition. Somehow, you've brought Reagan into a discussion on "Neck". Where is the troll? I was watching Penn St kill SMU, the band played Neck, and some students tried to do what students do. Funny, that anyone would attack a simple observation.

Friend of mine went to Army/Navy game and one of the shows the band did a day before the game involved the Army band playing Neck.

For the record, it was faint and being a Tiger fan, thought they may have said Tiger but they are the Lions so I would have to go to the replay before I'd testify in court.

The STLDB suggestion seems like it is not something I would expect from Penn State and I did not hear that during the game at all.

You just enjoy the word troll. Even when it doesn't apply. Easy. I was more than aware that LSU didn't write or own the rights to the song. You're just trying too hard to insert some weird conservative angle to something where it doesn't fit. Do you think that the student section is making a political statement when they're saying STTDB or are they trying to humiliate and intimidate the other team and fanbase? Go write another 30k posts and feel like you've accomplished something.

Never change Rant. I never said I like or dislike Neck. Just that I heard another band and student section give it their own treatment. A couple of other tiger fans heard it as well. Worth a good laugh. You're allowed to have some sort of strong feelings on the subject if you wish but I was just curious if anyone else caught Penn State throwing a little profanity in there as well.
