Already saved enough money on the football hire to grease the budget for awhile. WBB can keep overpaying for a loser.

Yeah its an easy quota to fill.......and yeah most including myself do not care about women’s basketball. But it is Alleva’s job to care about women’s basketball. He is under the microscope already for pretty much being terrible. This is just more coal on the fire.

Its frustrating because I actually want them to have a good program. If this were any other AD in the conference, she would be gone by now.
I did not mind the hire at first. It seemed like we were serious about actually being good in WBB. The coach has been checked out for years. I know up close, its in a very bad situation right now internally as well. How many coaching changes do we go through and the recruiting continues to get worse?
The basketball coaches down in NOLA won't even take phone calls from her now

Alleva: Fire him NOW!!
He is putting 2.1 Million dollars of obligations with that contract, a person who has done nothing but drive our WBB Program DOWNWARD!!
And DD Breaux increase is ridiculous, so now we encourage this woman to remain 3 more years to draw on that big retirement, last 3 years? RIDICULOUS, everyone knows her assistant is doing all the lifting and she just runs around and grins, as she has been doing for over 40 years. When that guy arrived, LSU Gymnastics has become relevant, nothing prior!!

This is embarrassing. Absurd. She needed to be fired yesterday and they want to extend her, and at the same rate. The mere fact he proposed this should get him fired instantly.

It brings a lot of national publicity to the university and other benefits not seen directly on paper
The issue is we now have no standards or accountability. I highly doubt LSU Board would say no to this extension.
The reality is she is not doing the job she was hired to do! Its apparent to anyone who follows the program that she is checked out and far from the energetic person hungry to win championships when she got here
