He showed flashes his freshman season when handed the ball. The game against Oklahoma could’ve been a big game for him if not Coach O going with Curry that game due to experience. His sophmore season I wouldn’t even count, due to being the covid season. He didn’t play a snap last year. That season not playing could’ve did him a great deal of Justice to prepare him for this upcoming season. And he’ll still be the most experienced back on the team. So I wouldn’t give up on him yet.

You can’t compare yards per carry in college to yards per carry in the NFL. Kamara averaged 6.2 per carry at tennesse. Having said that, I’m pulling for emery. I think he fits what Kelly wants in a running back.

Outside of one fluke run against Bama he’s done absolutely nothing.

This fan base will never let go of the Emery Hype.

Maybe Frank can knock some sense into him and get some LSU/SEC level production.
It's still OL dependen.
LSU sure could have used that Grad Transfer CENTER from OLU (Wisconsin) but Davis/Kelly let him sign with Florida State.

Like the back up QB, the guy who has not been able to get on the field due to injury and off the field issues becomes the would be savior. But no doubt, we need running backs.

Would be great to see both JE & MB play a full season to their potential.

You act like we haven’t seen him. He’s had a ton of chances to prove himself or show something elite. Not saying it’s not in him but he sure hasn’t shown it yet.

Emery & Kiner are gonna be a dynamic duo next year

Some of you act like we’ve never had back who only has one great year at the end of their career. Usually they are guys with fewer stars and less hype around them, but let’s just see what happens. Maybe the new staff can get the lights to come on with Emery. If not, hopefully he hangs around and provides solid depth and the younger guys step up.

Reality is he’s done nothing

He will be great if he can just average a 2.0 (in the classroom on 5th grade material).

I’m gunna roll with Kiner until Emery proves he can be the guy to run the RB room.
