“All this place needs are some adults”-alleged comment by CBK

A lot of old timers like myself have always made this argument, it seems things can get out of control rapidly in Baton Rouge. I still remember the black sock scandal in the 90s, and Lou Tepper sales and those associated disasters. Apparently, Scott remembers that too.
He has hired Four Coaches in major sports this far.
Football-Coach Bryan Kelly-A well known no nonsense hardass, disciplined hard working, great recruiter. He is considered fair but non nonsense. First year with 38 scholarship players, 10 wins won SEC West and beat bama.
A plus hire.
Baseball- Jay Johnson. -Best comments about him are by Ben McDonald when he was at Arizona. Word was you aren’t going to our work him, be more prepared, out coach or out recruit him. Serious baseball guy, promotes discipline, good sportsmanship and team play.
2 years one Natty.
A plus hire.
WBB- Kim Mulkey- Damn you are stupid Baylor. Another well known championship level hard arse coach about effort, discipline and teamwork, no bullshite. Two years one Natty and favored to repeat.
A Plus hire.
I don’t know enough about any of coaching hires but time will tell.
One thing all those three coaches are is adults. They share a lot of same coaching characteristics, discipline and hard work, no bullshite, Team first etc. You don’t have to be an a-hole, can make it fun etc but being consistent in those core principles seems to work best at LSU.

U can look it up on here but CBK said it to some other coach or sportscaster when he was coming in for interview or something and inspecting the facilities.

Not really, Baylor had zero leverage. She isn’t making much more money than she did at Baylor. This was about Kim coming home and being with her family.

I was half expecting this to be a thread about the orgy in Orlando

I’m not familiar with why she moved to LSU. Did Baylor do something stupid, or did she just want to come home?

I seem to recall some issues with the AD, no alignment. I think she also wanted a new basketball arena.
The Brown-Gunter court will end up being in the practice facility when she is done here. Get Mars to sponsor the new arena, The M&M, The Maravich-Mulkey Arena.

Sorta both but I think more of wanting to come home and try to create a legacy at LSU … mission accomplished pretty quickly …

"I still remember the Black Sock Scandal of the 90's."
Your memory isn't very good. It was the "Black Tape Scandal" and it only lasted one game.
In Hudson "Curley" Hallman's very first game at LSU, for some unknown reason, all 4 Starters of the Defensive Secondary thought it would be really cool to completely cover up their white socks with black tape. It looked like shite (Even though I'd prefer to see that again instead of these god awful "Circus Clown Purple Leggings and Purple Shoes" that Stringfellow has polluted the program with) and everybody freaked out.
That's all they were talking about in the post-game shows. Hallman said that he didn't catch it in the locker room before the game or they would not have been allowed out on to the field.
He said Jokingly that he immediately ordered the Equipment Mangeer to permanently remove all black tape from the locker room and black tape was now a banned item. (Just about the best thing he did in 4 years, outside of the Bama win in Birmingham..

I have chosen to forget all Curley Hallman historical data. Please stop posting and reminding me of that time period. TY!
