SEC, Big 10, PAC etc etc all going to be consumed by 4 conferences in a cage match to the death in a 64 team playoff

The SEC should've have stopped at twelve teams. It would have been even better had they remained with the ten tams we had prior to 1992, but it worked out pretty okay with twelve.

Adding A&M and Mizzou changed the whole feel of the conference. A&M has been fairly decent as a member, but Mizzou is most definitely not an SEC-type institution. They are not trash by any stretch of the imagination, but they are a complete cultural mismatch.

Oklahoma and Texas are about as "un-SEC" as you could possibly get without taking a team from the PAC10 or Big East. Both good programs, but NOT SEC in the least.

All this expansion of the SEC has been a money grab for the Birmingham bureaucracy. The conference is too big. There are teams that simply do not fit geographically or culturally. There are even too many teams to figure out a good conference schedule and route to the conference championship game without a nine conference game season and a lot of convoluted reasoning to determine who plays in Atlanta in December.

Sankey and his minions have got to go. The conference is no longer what it once was. It's now nothing more than a money-making scheme/scam to benefit the Birmingham office. There's only lip-service paid to any thought of the existence of a real, actual student-athlete anymore, so it sure seems odd that they're getting bent out of shape about the possibility of a couple players who declared for the NFL but didn't make a roster wanting to return to the college level for one last year.
