It starts with the disposition, the approach and how he Carrie’s himself like an intense dog. As such, he got his shot and has iron jawed it like a German shepherd that won’t let go. On base machine, driving in runs, plus defensively, and made 2 really great plays at second today. Looking forward to watching how his career and story at LSU and beyond goes. Geaux Tigers!

Don’t let him fool you. That’s Christian Ibarra masquerading as an 18 year old.

Death penalty once the NCAA finds out.

He's got to be a fan favorite.

His scouting profile coming out of Highschool always mentioned him having an Alex Bregman-esque work ethic. Seems like a kid that’s going to end up being pretty good…

We'll know for sure if he bounces a popup off his head. Not many can pull that off live.

Love seeing this guy play. Short guys unite! He is listed at 5-8 but is probably more like 5-5. Dude can ball. Another great pickup by JJ.

We have a great mixture of freshman and veteran players. And we have a young coach that knows what he is doing. Winning one championship is very hard. And we won't win every year. But with Jay at the helm, future looks very good.

Milam has solidified his spot for 3 years after just a handful of games. That dude is legit.

I said this a couple times in the game thread, but dude just doesn't give up at bats. No matter the inning, no matter the score. That's a maturity very few players have at ANY level, much less for a true freshman in his 2nd week. Super impressive kid. Dude is just a damn baseball player.

Is Steven Milam playing 2nd base or shortstop ? Or both? Who is he competing with at those positions?

He’s playing 2B this year, SS next year after Braswell is gone

Both but mainly second. Pearson is his competition at second but his spot in the lineup is between him, Pearson, Brown, Frey and Braswell.

It’s unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility that he beats Braswell out for SS.

Braswell isn’t going anywhere
