Milam has the built-in advantage of having a very small strike zone, which is difficult for any college pitcher to face.
But he also has the eye to hit the ball when a college pitcher can control his throw and actually get it in the zone.
Plus, he's so damn reliable fielding. He might be my favorite player this year.

Is Steven Milam playing 2nd base or shortstop ?
Both. At the same time. He's that fricking good.

He also gets the ball to first very fast..

Milam reminds me of that pain in the arse second base kid from Oregon State a couple years ago.
Flat out Baller.
I love Milam. I hated that Oregon state kid. Only because he didn’t play for us.
ETA: Nick Madrigal. I looked it up.

I liked his walkup song too.

Braswell isn’t going anywhere
Which is why I say it’s unlikely.
But if we’re a month into SEC play and Braswell is hitting his weight then I Milam would very easily slide into that spot.
I don’t expect that to happen and I don’t want that to happen but it is a possibility

I'm pretty sure that Braswell isn't going anywhere if him and Milam keep turning 2 when they have the chance. And Braswell has been crushing the ball.

Braswell goes from your leadoff hitter to benched that quick ? Shid dude

Milam : .408 average, .533 on base %
Braswell : .238 average, .320 on base %
they've both had 21 at bats.

Milam: 6 RBIs, .455 slugging %
Cool stats. My point wasn't to put them against each other. It was that having Braswell at SS and Milam at 2B is looking like it could be a pretty good starting middle infield. Hence, Braswell isn't going anywhere. Neither is Milam.
Also: Braswell is also about 6 ft away from having 2 grand slams, so add that. He started slow, but is raking.
