Auburn won the SEC West. They beat the national champion. They beat two CFB playoff teams. Two of their four losses were to CFB playoff teams. The third was to undefeated UCF. And the other was to us.
A team that loses to Troy should not in the same year beat Auburn.
No one really "boasts" about it. It's merely a retort to the chicken littles who cannot let the loss to Troy go.
I miss the glory days too. But running down the team won't bring them back. I'm with the OP. When the dust settles on September 2nd, LSU will be a top 5 story in college football having convincingly beaten the upstart Canes.

It is just their job on here to bash the program, coaches, and troll 24/7. Nothing more. Kind of a miserable/useless existence, but I guess it makes them feel important

Really? When was this? When was beating Auburn ever a foregone conclusion? I remember winning a national title in 2007 and beating Auburn on our last play, Flynn to Byrd.

Maybe "foregone conclusion" is a bit strong. Though, to be fair, we haven't lost at home to Auburn in 19 years. My point really is that beating Auburn, even a good Auburn team, at home doesn't exactly take away the sting of losing at home to a Sun Belt team.

Do you not understand that the main reason LSU is so disrespected is because O isn't respected as a HC yet? Insert a proven a HC and LSU is at least a top 15 team across the board in the polls. These preseason polls don't mean shite though and O can prove everyone wrong but is he capable of doing it is the question.
